Introduction

So here is my Kog'Maw build. I pretty much build any variation of this build all whenever I play Kog. It is extremely effective for my play style and has been working for me. It is only once in a great while that I actually go negative with this build. If you have a decent team at all, you will do pretty awesome!

Runes

So I take these runes because they all are pretty universal. These are the ones that I currently have and I think it makes for an effective base overall. I take magic penetration for Kog's W. and then the rest are more defensive and survivability. Kog is extremely squishy and therefore I felt like he could use some armor and magic resist. I take the Desolation Quints because Kog's attack speed is so ridiculous that it makes people die even without W.

Masteries

The masteries I take are for based on the fact that I primarily use W to kill everyone and everything. 9-0-21 seemed fitting because after the 15% magic pen, the offense does not help Kog out that much more. Util seemed like a better place to use those points.

Items

I always start out with the boots and 3 health pots. I like the boots because I tend to try to play quite aggressive early game. I know that is strange for Kog because he is so squishy, but that extra move speed helps him keep up while attacking and someone is trying to escape.
