Hmmm. I have serious doubts about Zhonya's Hourglass. I heard rumors that they might rework his passive, in which case the hourglass would fit right in, but as it stands now, it's armor overkill, and you'd be using it mostly for the active, wasting a lot of gold on unnecessary armor along the way. Quicksilver Sash and Flash might save you more often, for example.

Honestly, I hope they just rework his passive, but I really think you should consider some alternatives, like Banshee's Veil, for example. I don't play Xerath, really, so I can't really give the most character-specific advice in the world.

Im sorry but theres really nothing here that isnt in every other Xerath guide, also some of your info is just plain wrong saying that the % magic pen from Locust of Power is not useful is again wrong, stacking health is not something people do pure healths value is very very low if you do not have the Armor/Magic Resist to back it up. So haveing pretty much a free Void Staff in magic pen every time you use Locust of Power is extremely valuable. You also are missing a ton of information from your guide.

This guide seems like its been hacked together off another guide,
"NOTE
I haven't entered that much amount of Ranked games so I am not writing this for experienced player to broaden their already so un-ousmart-able brains, but to everybody (including Ranked players) to gain an indicated amount (maybe huge, maybe just a tad bit) of advices and information about Anivia."

Needs a lot of spell checking and shorter explanations, or at least organize the explanations to a better, readable format.

So to end, a good start but need a lot of work.

Greater Glyph of Celerity suck. They're only better than flat CDR at like lvl.13.
Most scaling runes equal their flat counterparts at lvl.6.
Get flat CDR if you ever use CDR blues.

Lucidity should definitely be replaced by Sorcerer Boots if you're getting them lategame.
Xerath is AP carry and he should have blue buff lategame which utterly negates CDR boots since blue buff + blue elixir will waste any CDR from boots.

Mage Chains is also far more important to have leveled than W.

Seems pretty good, all that I question is getting Ionian Boots of Lucidity over sorcerors shoes but having ap glyphs. Wouldn't it be more effective to get the MPen and use Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction.

good guide..+1
you seem like you know alot about xerath..but your guide lacks some sections (build and rune/mastery explanation for example).your build seems nice i like how you focus on wards..but i think you need to show item progressions like get fiendish codex first then turn it into Morello's Evil Tome later and such..also sections on laning and teamfighting are needed to learn xerath..and also some rune/mastery/item alternatives like armor seals and mr or mr/lvl for glyphs..well you get my points

also you should have some credit for jhoijhoi..you used his template and separators..

I'm just curious why you don't max Mage Chains over Locus of Power since youcan keep Locus at lvl 2 and wait since you did say that the Magic Pen. on it is near usless, so why upgrade it more than it needs to early game when you can do more damage during your harass with a higher leveled Mage Chains?
