Introduction
This guide is only valid if the enemy team you are playing against has at least 2-3 squishy characters. If that is not the case, then use the Ponycopter Build. This guide is focused around movement speed for fast ambushes that are over before your enemy can counter you. This will be a very awkward build for you to get used to, but once you can get it working, you'll the bane of your enemy's existence.
To start off your game, you're gonna head to gromp. Your laner might be kind enough to leash for you, but it's not necessary. Smite him immediately and keep spamming your Rampage, get your Spirit of Dread after after killing him, then head to wolves. You may have an opportunity to W twice while fighting the wolves, don't, save it for raptors. After Raptors, kill, the two smaller monsters at red(get the larger one on your second trip), then recall. There you have it, that's you starting jungle route. Your primary goal in the early game for Hecarim will be to focus on farming the jungle, and getting to level 6 as soon as possible. You'll have to rely on your teammates and your Onslaught of Shadows for successful ganks. It'll be more fun later, I promise.
At mid game, your main focus should still be farming, but with more items, you have a much wider array of options for ganking. Consider getting a Greater Warding Totem for dragon, combining your ult with a well timed smite and steal you a dragon right out from underneath the enemy. If you see fit to gank a lane, don't be scared to take your hard-earned Minion TaxTM. If they were doing so badly that you had to rip yourself away from your rhythm in the jungle, then they best be prepared to pay homage.
This is where things get fun. Hopefully you're at full build going into levels 16-17. The key to your ganks will be to run in so fast that they don't have time to react and counter. On top of your ability to 1v3 in almost any situation, use your extra movement speed to your advantage, and out rotate the enemy. If they're massed at one end of their base repelling your allies, push the other side, and take out an objective before they can react and adjust.
The highlight of this build is a very hard to control, lightning fast gank. Burin all of your abilities at once maxes out your attack speed and stuns the enemy before they even notice you're there. Follow these steps:
- Position yourself out of view of your targets
- Unlock Camera, right click target
- Hit Devastating Charge, Talisman of Ascension, Youmuu's Ghostblade, and Ghost.
- Yell "BLITZKRIEG!" and lock camera
- Aim Onslaught of Shadows slightly behind them to scare them towards your teammates
- Hit Spirit of Dread and spam Rampage until death (Smite if they try to run :D)
