G'day all this is LordCreep here with my second build xD this is a revamp on my older build any sort of suggestions to this build would be great.
KEEP IN MIND I AM NOT TELLING YOU HOW TO PLAY NOCTURNE THIS IS ONLY A GUIDELINE THIS IS WHAT WORKS FOR ME AND HOPEFULY FOR YOU TOO! THIS BUILD CANNOT MAKE YOU A BETTER PLAYER WITH HIM IT BUT WILL HELP KEEP THAT IN MIND TOO!
Before Nocturne, people believed that dreams were figments of their imagination, meaningless images that flashed through the mind when one slept. This belief was put to the test when a rash of sleep-related incidents started afflicting summoners of the League. Some would wake up screaming, terrified and beyond consolation. Some could not fall asleep, slowly going mad as the nights ticked by. Some simply never woke up. Physicians were baffled until a Field Architect happened to pass out next to a nexus on Twisted Treeline. Witnesses said he cried out once and then stopped breathing. Immediately after, magical energy arced out from the nexus, and Nocturne appeared.
Nocturne did not take his introduction to this world kindly. He slaughtered everything he could find before summoners were able to magically confine him. After a period of intense study, League experts divined that Nocturne hunted summoners in their sleep, attacking them in a place where their magic was useless. This seemed to be his only purpose. The families of the victims demanded justice, but League officials were concerned that death might only return Nocturne to the place from which he came. They bound him to a nexus fragment, trapping him in the physical world. As punishment for his crimes, they allowed summoners to call upon Nocturne in the League matches, bending his will to the summoners he hates and creating his own personal nightmare. League scholars don't know whether he truly came from the plane of dreams, or whether there are any more like him. Some theorize that the summoning act affected summoners' subconscious minds, luring Nocturne to them in their sleep. Perhaps the most disturbing theory is that Nocturne is a person's nightmare come to life. If this is true, they wonder, who is the dreamer?

- Don;t know what skill start with (no really this sucks there all awsome)
Now people may ask why i choose these runes (Duh no sh*t why you think im reading this):
With my Marks i choose armor penetration for 2 reasons
1. I like to play nocturne as a jungler and the more armor pen i have seem to do more damage to the golem (which if you didn't get right away were you should start at lol)
2. I base my build on chasing and ganking and with his skills being really strong you want more power in them with armor pen you got it AD isnt everything.
With my Seals i choose armor one one big reason because you WILL! become a huge target you may aswell point a big sign saying PLEASE KILL ME IM HERE! so with armor it alows you to take a little more damage and still run away with your DuskBringer so keep this in mind.
With my Glyphs i choose Attack speed for well need i say more with your passive Umbra Blades you will own with all your skills and as a added bonus you get health why do you need life steal with this nifty passive xD.
With my Quintessences i choose attack speed runes because as iv played him more often attack speed with frozen mallet and dusk way too good of a combo
With my Masteries i take2109 i find this makes you more surviable in team fights now you may ask why i would up my smite is because sometimes i feel like using smite instead of ignite but if your laning you should take ignite. Umm lots of cirts is good but i suggest only get them in your masteries as you dont really need them in your runes but then again everyone has ther own choice.
Umbra Blades - Every 10 seconds, Nocturne's next attack strikes surrounding enemies for 120% physical damage and heals himself for 15/20/25 per target hit.
Nocturne's basic attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second.
PpThis is my fav passive so far the fact that with each attack it reduces CD's by 1 sec thats so useful for you and the splash attack at a extra 120%! wicked cool and a life steal cmon all it doesn't do is make you a coffee in the morning (it should i'd like that)
Duskbringer - Nocturne throws a shadow blade which deals damage, leaves a Dusk Trail, and causes champions to leave a Dusk Trail. While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and has increased Movement Speed and Attack Damage.
Nocturne throws a shadow blade which deals 60/110/160/210/260 (+) physical damage and leaves a Dusk Trail for 5/5/5/5/5 seconds. Enemy champions hit also leave a Dusk Trail.
While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and gains 15/20/25/30/35% Movement Speed and 20/30/40/50/60 Attack Damage.
I cannot stress how useful this skill is ok ill start here
1. Great for ganking
2. Great for chasing
3. Good damage
4. Great for running away
5. Good for saving your team
6. Great for finding stealthed units because dusk trail follows them still even with stealth I tryed it on a twitch owned him hard
Shroud of Darkness - Nocturne empowers his blades, passively gaining attack speed. Activating Shroud of Darkness allows Nocturne fades into the shadows, creating a magical barrier which blocks a single enemy spell and doubles his passive attack speed if successful.
Passive: Nocturne has 20/25/30/35/40% bonus Attack Speed.
Active: Nocturne creates a magical barrier for 2 seconds, which blocks the next enemy ability.
If an ability is blocked by the shield, Nocturne's passive Attack Speed bonus doubles for 5 seconds.
Now this skill is is hard to choose from i like this at lvl 2 but sometimes i get it at lvl 1 for a quicker last hit and to block enermy spells and early ganks but this skill can be hard to use tho, because you got to time it right but when you do this can be a killer simply your running just say and they spell you, you pop shroud then you flash to them dusk them and bang easy kill with the mass attack speed boost will be great but becareful has a long CD but with your passive shouldnt be a prob but you know just becareful
Unspeakable Horror - Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing damage each second and fearing the target if they do not get out of range by the end of the duration.
Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing 50/100/150/200/250 (+1) magic damage over 2 seconds. If Nocturne stays within 600 range of the target for the full duration, the target becomes feared for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s).
This skill is simply a chasers dream as you dusk them, then horror them and you keep chasing until the fear effect happens, then attack them they will try to spell you or stun you pop your barrier and own them done for you get another easy kill
Paranoia - Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision in the process. He can then launch himself at a nearby enemy champion.
Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision for 4 seconds.
While Paranoia is active, Nocturne can launch himself at an enemy champion, dealing 150/300/450 (+) physical damage.
And now for your most favoute and prob the most unquie skill in the game paranoia this skill is beyond good at 2000 range!! you are a silent killer, with the added effect of hinding your team from there team and hinding there own team from them this skill is good for last hit kills for even just a hardcore push gank and for what it does its CD is nothing with passive just jungle a little and/or farm and you will get it back in no time.
The biggest thing about the way i play Nocturne is his item build i try to base everything around armor pen and ganking. With dusk and boots of swiftnessyour speed i believe is in between 500 to 550 wow! now thats fast. Now a lot of people will ask why Hexdrinkerits simple no one is a prodictor you will not always land you barrier and you will die if you have low health the reason for hex is for some magic res and its passive is what might keep you alive long enough to bait a champ, get away or even get the mana for a strong gank, i find it to be a good team item. I like to choose Frozen MalletBecause to start off with 700hp you need this as you are very squishy unlike a lot of other DPS units now i like this also with the added bonus of reduced movement speed combined with dusk and horror you will own xD.
Now i like to start with bootsand x2 HP pots just so i can chase and get away early becasue if you lane right you will not have to B till lvl 6. If you are a jungler you grab the jungling starter items which most people should know is, Cloth Armorand x5 HP pots. Then i like to get after that Brutalizerbecause its a good start to your awsomeness, then i tend to get with swift boots so i can chase better. This is the main start the rest is up to you i find that Last whipsernext means a lot more kills for you so keep this in mind.
Flash: This is one of your best friends when ganking and running
Teleport: Not too bad its viable for Nocturne but not essental you could use better spells but it is good fun tho
Clairvoyance: This is also a viable spell for Nocturne as if you use it you can ulti a weak champ that just got away so can be useful
Ghost: With my build this is useless unless you want crazy speed by all means get it but its useless to you with this build
Exhaust: Also another great spell for Nocturne as a ganker and a chaser with this build this works really well so its useable xD
Clarity: Not really needed your not so skill dependent but if you feel you need mana worth getting but personaly i wouldnt get it
Cleanse: Really you don't need this simply put i find this spell useless in everyway but then thats me but if you find you always get to close and need a cleanse to stop dying go for it
Ignite: As a chaser this spell is almost a must because sometimes you might just run out of mana oh no you dont wanna chase too far then bang hit ingite and in most cases a kill xD
Fortify: If your new maybe get this so you can tower hug a little more but in the end whats the point its for saving towers i get that but then in the end when they team a tower whats the point ==
Rally: Could be useful for your team but for you not so much by mid to late mid game you are already way to op you dont need this
Heal: Could be useful if you feel your too aggresive or new to jungling but in the end not good for you
Smite: Cmon you can jungle easly so this works out really good for you simply put
Revive: Why would you waste a spot for this when there are so many better spells == don't even bother with this

Ok guys here it is Early Game
If you are jungling you get Cloth Armorand x5 HP pots and go for the golem first this is were your armor pen comes in handy and your passive aswell just jungle till your lvl 6 or get your Boots of Swiftnessand/or Brutalizerthen look out for easy kills and/or ganks.
If you are laning with a partner you should get Bootsand x2 HP pots this will help you run away chase and stay in the lane longer because of you passive and your strong skills farming shouldnt be hard just remember to LAST HIT can't stress this enough you want your armor pen items sooner than later
If you are soloing mid becareful you are very squishy so you have a choice in ether Bootsand x2 HP pots or Cloth Armorand x2 HP pots up to you remember hurr*** with Dusk when every you can and last hit as many times as you can if you have to use dusk to get last hits do it will get gold quicker. Becareful of ganks because they will come for you from lvl 1 to lvl 7 if you lane mid well.
This is where you rule you should by now have Boots of Swiftness, Brutalizerand Last Whisperand starting to build your or have Frozen Malletbefore last whisper i find sometimes i go frozen first because you may get ganked more but if you have a strong team whisper is a great start before mallet but then again its personal choice. Now you should have these items and you should be about lvl 11 with lvl 2 ulti at this point you will want to champ hunt to keep there team on there toes so you aloue your team to push lanes you should be able to get a ton of kills and i can't stress this before you go for team fights get the 2 buffs these will be great for you more than you ever know.
At this point you should be so op that they are hunting you in teams of 3 or 4 so becareful because you will get targeted you should be lvl 18 and have pritty much your full build and if you didnt notice i left a item out now this is situatonal depending on how your game is going you may need more magic res you may need more HP or you might be owing so much you want to get Infinity Edge now with this build if you follow it and then get this you will crit at over 800! now do you likey?? because i sure do and with the attack speed you will be a machine.
In the end this champion is wicked fun to play and is real strong remember guys this guide is only a guide it will not always win you game but it sure will help.
