The way Fiddlesticks is meant to be played
Not feedlesticks, because usually, fiddlesticks are either feeding or not doing really well. Playing as Fiddlesticks, it's so easy to get K/Ds of 4 or higher and be a great addition to your team.
Making use of the runes provided above, thou will not be squishy in normal game, and NEVER have any mana problems (provided you use your spells only when needed.) The flat health quintesses will help you alot early game, without them you will be more squishy.
If you do not have the health quintesses (yet) it might be a good idea to get the health ruby before the sapphire.
The magic penetration will help you kill the tanks as well as the easy kills.
Making use of flashand Ghostafter activating your ulti, will make you stand right next to the enemy, even if they are far away. Making it impossible for them to get away quickly. Besides that, it's also good for escaping battles/ganks that are not in your favor.
Alright, you start of with a sapphire crystaland if you cant resist, get a health potas well. You won't need the health potion, because you have your life drain skill.
Once you have made some money, go back to base and get a catalystand boots(if you dont have enough money to get the sorcerers boots, just get the tier 1 boots, it makes alot of difference)
Then you get the Rod of Ages(byebye squishiness), mejais soulstealer(You will easily fill it), and the other items.
Abyssal scepteris a great item for Fiddlesticks, especially if the enemy has alot of casters (or tanks). Most casters have about 30 magic resistance at level 18, if they don't buy anything with magic resistance. Abyssal scepter will lower the enemy magic resistance in a radius around you, and besides that, it stacks with your passive (10 lower magic resistance). This makes your skills deal almost true damage. Oh, there's also your marks (red runes), making it even more leet.
For late, late, late game:
If your game continues on, and on, and on, sell your items 1 by 1, keeping Zhonya's ring and your boots, and get 4 archangel staffs. It's the maximum AP you will ever get (around 1250).
Of course, this will never really happen, as with fiddlesticks, the enemy will be dominated all game, making it end fast.
This is where the build differs from other builds
What most builds advise, is taking your 3rd skill (Dark Wind) as the main skill, for farming purposes. I found it to be way more effective to take Drainand Terifyfirst, this is what you will make kills with.
Taking just 1 rank in Dark Wind, will enable to you to farm with it very well. You farm just as well with your auto attacks and dark wind, perhaps even better, because you are able to stay in your lane, because you can heal yourself. You'll get more money making kills, than farming 24/7.
If you have 2 or 3 ranks in Drain, you will probably be able to outlifesteal a melee attacker who is autoattacking you. I've made such a lot of skills by just standing there, draining the enemies life, and watching him die whilst attacking me.
Once you have your ulti, it's time to get kills even easier. Stand in a bush, or another place where the enemy can't see you, and use your ulti, getting as close to them (in the direction he will run to) and if needed, use flash to get even closer or to chase him down. Once you are there, press Q on the enemy, to fear him, making him stay in your ulti radus, then quickly press W, and drain his life. In early / mid game, this is a guaranteed kill, perhaps even a double kill. Your E skill might be needed to finish the enemy.
In teamfights (Late game), you will want to ulti into the teamfight, but you do not want to initiate. Wait for your tank to run in, and then ulti from a nice distance (Extra points if you do it over a wall in the jungle), press Q on their main damage dealer/the most squishy (which should be your main target), and use W on your main target as well. Your E skill will deal some extra damage and silence the enemy.
If the teamfight isn't over by then, walk back a little, as your skills will be on CD for a while, and join in the fight again.
