GOODBYE CRYSTAL SCAR, YOU WILL BE MISSED! :(

I am o0OMysteryO0o, a Hide and Seek player who has been playing it for very long now. I decided to make a new rule set, because new champions are arriving and they need to be addressed. Hopefully it is easy enough to understand. :)

Since the Hide and Seek rules seem to be all going outdated, this new one should make it much clearer. And since Crystal Scar got removed, I have updated it for SR.

Hide and Seek is a custom game mode that is played for fun. I find it to be one of the best custom game modes and I am sure you can agree.

Basically, 5 champions are the hiders and 2 are the seekers. The 2 need to kill each hider 5 times as they all have 5 lives each. If they do this by the 50 minute mark they win, if not then they loose.

- The game must be played on Summoner's Rift and it must be Draft mode (to allow bans).
- There are 5 Hiders and 2 Seekers, the hiders have 5 lives and 40 minutes (after farming and hiding).
- Everyone starts at level 6 after farming. Hiders get 2 minutes to hide before the game starts (most games start at around 8-10 minutes in after farming). (I will explain this more in the farming section)
- Killing jungle monsters is allowed, since you need to get items in some possible way. It also makes it more risky (and fun), since you will get gold for a health loss. The dragon and baron nashor are not allowed to be killed though.
- Killing minions is only allowed to defend your base tower if it gets swarmed (to depush from there). The least fed champion should depush, and they can be helped if needed.
- If the hiders loose all 5 lives then they loose, if they survive longer than 40 minutes they win.

Hiders
- Use only CC abilities (slows, stuns, snares, silences, knockback, etc). Any ability is allowed against jungle monsters so you can clear quicker and escape, etc.
- You are not allowed to buy ANY slow items before the 30:00 mark.
- Max 3 hiders in the same bush
- Only 1 helper per seeker. If one seeker is chasing only one hider can help the victim, if two are chasing or are in close proximity then two hiders can help the victim.
- You can never recall, enter the base or run into the towers range (running through the middle two towers is fine). You can only buy items when you die. An exception to this is if you are attacked when you have grace or when depushing.
- Hiders must say "Grace" in the /all chat so the seekers know you have 30 seconds to hide.
- You are not allowed to buy offensive items at all, the exception to this is items like Luden's Tempest and Lich Bane. Both of which give mobility and CDR.
- You can not buy the same item twice, this is to prevent people from stacking too many items like Luden's Tempest.
- Only 1 Defensive item is allowed. Mercurial Scimitar is an exception to this rule, as it is more for Movement Speed and utility.
- Only place 1 trap per bush and make sure they are not stacked outside of a bush. (Caitlyn's traps are an exception to this rule)
- Once you loose 5 lives you have to stay in the base and defend against waves of minions that may try to destroy your base.

As a hider, you will loose 1 life:
- If you continuously auto attack or hit enemies with non CC abilities, the seekers have to warn you but if you carry on after you are told you will loose 1 life.
- If run through or camp in any turrets range.
- If you knock or bait an enemy into the turrets range.
- If you kill yourself by other means.
- If you run into the base. Disconnecting when it was not your fault is fine as long as you don't buy an item, every 5 minutes of being disconnected you loose 1 life otherwise.
- If you kill the seekers. An exception to this is if they don't recall under 300hp for 5 seconds, if they don't then you MAY use CC to kill them. If you don't give them around 5 seconds you loose 1 life.

Seekers
- You are not allowed to buy any VISION ITEM before the 25:00 mark. ( Sweeping Lens is an exception to this rule)
- You are not allowed to buy ANY slow items before the 30:00 mark.
- Only 1 SLOW item per seeker, any item that SLOWS the enemy from any stat or passive counts as a slow item. Dead Man's Plate is an exception to this rule.
- You can not kill a hider that has Grace, you can't chase them or reveal them either.
- You may not kill a hider that is depushing a minion wave at their base as well.
- If you have less than 300hp you have to recall, if you don't then the hiders can kill you with CC.
- You can recall at any time, but you can't fake recall. If you recall, then cancel and kill a hider that walks nearby then they get an extra life.
- If hiders are out don't attack or kill them, if they are trolling then end the game.

There are some prebanned champions that are never allowed to be played. I may add some more to the list as well if they are just too strong in any shape or form.

Prebanned for both teams
Teemo is prebanned for both teams, his ability to place shrooms everywhere proves too powerful even for the seekers. His movement speed is unmatchable and his stealth is too strong as a hider.

Evelynn is prebanned for both teams, the permanent stealth makes her uncatchable and also makes it so the hiders can't ever see her if she is a seeker.

Kassadin with his ultimate gives him way too much mobility, you can never escape a Kassadin once he purchases mana. You also can't catch him at all either.

Master Yi is almost impossible to outrun, he moves very fast with his ultimate and his true damage makes his attacks hit very hard whilst also not being able to get out of his range. He is also extremely powerful as a hider as he becomes immune to slows whilst he uses his ultimate.

Rengar is banned because of his passive and ultimate. Since there is so many bushes it is almost impossible to escape a Rengar, and if you do he can simply ult to see you again.

Shaco is banned due to multiple reasons. First he can Q over a wall and also become invisible, giving the seekers a hard time finding him. He can also place boxes which can very easily kill seekers and many shacos tend to stack them. He is also very hard to escape from as a hider for this reason.

LeBlanc is banned for the same reason as shaco. Her ability to jump over walls many times proves too difficult for the seekers, and even for the hiders. Her chain CC is very powerful and also does a lot of damage.

Quinn is banned due to her updated ultimate. She can use her ultimate whenever she wants and at level 6 she has way too much speed to be caught, and to escape from. All of this comes with lots of damage as well.

Summoner Spells
- Ignite is not allowed for hiders.
- Only one Clairvoyance is allowed per team, since it prevents each team from having vision everywhere.

( Smite is recommended for both teams for quicker clears.)

Farming
- In the farming phase, everyone will split up into lanes. (2/1/2 laning for hiders) (1/0/1 laning for seekers)
- Everyone MUST be friendly and may NOT attack other champions, as this is just for farming minions.
- When the time hits 8min, recall straight away and wait until everyone else is ready.
- Once everyone is ready, the game can start and the hiders can hide.

Banned Items
- All health potions except Hunter's Potion, for a little jungle sustain against monsters.
- All trinkets except Sweeping Lens, as it helps with detecting enemy traps.
- Tracker's Knife (Since no wards are allowed)
- Enchantment: Cinderhulk
- Thornmail
- Guardian Angel
- Sunfire Aegis
- Frost Queen's Claim
- Warmog's Armor
- Any item that gives lots of AD or AP, excluding those which give Movement Speed or CDR like Luden's Tempest and Lich Bane.

- Hiders can use the disallowed skills on jungle monsters for faster clearing, however they can't use the disallowed skills on the seekers.

- Items do not change this, even if you have a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. For example a Singed cannot Q on seekers even if he has a Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
