Nocturne is a great, hard hitting Assasin and his abilities have awesome synergie. The only problem with him is that he is very squishy, so decided to build him tanky. Even when your not just building offensive items like this :
youre still going to do a massive amount of damage when you got your build.
-Over 4000 HP
-Lots of CC
-Even with more defensive Items good damage output
-Not so much damage in mid game, as you would have with a more offensive build
-Squishy in early game

: Exhaust will help you landing your fear and completely shut down AD based champs for a few second.
Summoner Spells to consider:
got nerfed so i dont use it so often anymore, but its still a great escaping tool and is usefull to stick on your enemys. You may take it instead of when yout think you already got enough speed from your .
will help you killing your enemys faster and will give you some AD when its on CD because of your masteries. Take it instead of , if yout think it suits in your playstyle. Keep in mind that you have no escaping tool, without .
9x Greater Mark of Desolation
3x Greater Quintessence of Desolation
I take armor penetration marks and quintessences because you will do so much damage with them in early game and to squishy targets, also they will help you in the jungle.
9x Greater Seal of Armor
The armor seals are for your durability in the jungle and on lane.
9x Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
The magic resist glyphs will help you against AP champs. You can also take attackspeed glyphs, but I prefer magic resist.
I take 21/9/0 masteries, which will give you bonus armor penetration, lifesteal critical hit chance, critical hit damage, attackspeed, life, armor and magic resist. The masteries will give you good damage outpout and durability for your jungling and laneing.

Umbra Blades is Nocturnes passive. Every 10 seconds Nocturne damages targets around the enemy he hit with an basic attack with boosted damage and heals himself for the number of enemys hit. Basic attacks reduce the cooldown of his passive for 1 second.
Duskbringer is a lined nuke. When it hits an enemy he will leave a trail behind him. On the trail, Nocturne get bonus movementspeed and bonus attackdamage.
With his W, Nocturne blocks a spell and has passively bonus attackspeed. If he blocks a spell correctly, the passive of W will be doubled.
Unspeakable Horror is Nocturnes fear. He will teather an enemy and if he stays in range of the teathered enemy, the enemy gets feared. I like to put it on smartcast.
Paranoia is Nocturnes ultimate. On activation all enemys have only their own vision. Nocturne may then reactivate the ability to jump to an enemy. If you mouse over your R, the range will be shown. So make sure you are in range of your target.
will give you important movementspeed and AD early on, thats why i max it first. is important for ganking, and keeping up with your enemys, so i max it second. I take a point in on lane at 4 and in jungle at level 2. On lane i use it as the spellshield,thats why i leave it on level 1 till endgame. When jungling i take it before so im jungling faster, but i still leave it on level 1, because is more important. Even more when you got Greater Glyph of Attack Speed .

. You may have over 4000 Hp but you still drop fast when you get focused. A good postioning is important or you may lose the game.
2. When the fight starts look for themost important target.
