I agree On-Hit's not for every champ out there. You should note though that I've play tested all of the champs I've included here, except the ones shown in the "Others" section. I wouldn't be including them here in Tier 2 and certainly not in Tier 1 if I hadn't play tested them and found they produced good results. You mention Ez and Shaco and you should really try this build out with them before saying it won't work. The reason this build works is not only the applied On-Hit Effects, but rather the combination of Attack Speed and On-Hit that synergizes with these champs' innate abilities; and the beefiness they obtain from Madred's and Wit's End that sets them apart from glass cannon build champs. With Ez, this means crazy spamming and AS for his poke, with Shaco it means he and his clone focus a person down with 4 attacks per second between the two of them.

As for Infinity Edge, I mention it as an option for late game to add some more damage. People can feel free to change the last two items in the build situationally. I do mention IE especifically though because you already have all the AS you need (ionic spark would certainly be overkill...) so this item takes advantage of the roughly 2 attacks per second you're doing and adds tons of damage to your attacks.

I have to say, I'm really not tremendously thrilled with this guide.

Don't get me wrong - on-hit's a very viable option, but I wouldn't recommend it at all for a majority of the characters you listed. Kayle, Teemo, Kog'Maw, Lulu and Twitch (the latter two of which you've left off, which is understandable - you can't be able to play all characters, after all lol) are all fantastic on-hit characters, and others like Orianna and Warwick are at least passable. But for a great many of these there's really just not any real reason to build them as on-hits. Yeah, Ez and Shaco have abilities that apply on-hit effects, but those abilities also apply attack damage to an equal or superior measure. Sure, on-hit's cheaper and all, but if you're going to play on-hit, play one of the characters it's optimized for, i.e., someone who actually has a built-in on-hit effect.

Other than that, the only other thing I really don't much care for about the build is the inclusion of Infinity Edge, which strikes me as near useless. Sure, it's a great damage boost, but the issue is the critical amping is all wasted on the huge amounts of magic damage output these builds include, and the edge is by no means cheap. Anything that includes crit, life steal, or armor pen as a primary function shouldn't have any place in an on-hit build. Instead, maybe throw in an ionic spark, or maybe a manamune, especially for Kog'Maw, whose mana problems it just about completely solves, while also giving him the ability to deal with towers and not get completely screwed over by a Galio.

Oh well. Some stuff to think about, anyway.

Very nice guide. Love on-hit Teemo, the only way to play.

lol...really gayguy? Do you even know what any of Kog's abilities does? Besides, the longer your alive, the more damage output you do to people. Because lets face it, if your facing a good team, they won't let you attack them to death without a fight. This gives you some survival ability.

I used the xin build in Twisted Treelines and got: 15/4/5 ^^

I only suggest to switch madred's with black cleaver, and than to buy infinity edge. (or first frozen mallet, I only skipped frozen mallet because I already was op and they were like butter). I know what you meant with magical damage (4% full health), but black cleaver synergizes great with infinity edge. So you have a magic penetration (Malady) and an armor penetration (black cleaver).

Black cleaver also gives you the same attack speed, but also gives you more normal AD.

Thanks a lot for the great build! It was awesome to use, and I will use it much more times!

(btw, something more to mention, I had a very strong Soraka as enemy, she was full ap with Q spamming, but with Wit's End she almost didn't do any damage to me.)

Nice to hear it worked out. Xin gets real beefy with this build so I bet AP Soraka wouldn't faze you too much. Maybe On Hit Soraka would be a tougher opponent though heh

funny build that's fun to use around. not sure if I'd ever use it in a ranked game, though.

Also, if you could....update the guide? Times have changed my friend.
