Warwick's kit is great for farming the jungle at early levels, but is very lacking on ganking potential. The best thing to do with Warwick in the early game is to farm the jungle and get levels as fast as possible. Now with the healing from your passive and Q, as well as the attack speed from the runes/masteries, you should be able to farm the jungle very efficiently.
As for jungle paths, I like starting Gromp. From Gromp I get the blue buff. Early game cool=down reduction and mana regeneration is essential to Warwick's quick jungle clear. Warwick's "q" takes a lot of mana to use repeatedly in the jungle making the early blue buff a great help. Now if you are unfortunate enough to have your blue taken at the start of the game, no sweat, Warwick's passive healing should be enough to keep you alive for most of the jungle clear.
Once you have cleared every jungle monster once head back and buy the stalker's blade upgrade, and maybe a dagger and some pots. This will make the rest of the time getting level 6 a little faster.
I don't recommend ganking at all unless you have 120% certainty that you can kill someone. First of all, Warwick's early kit has no lock down making it easy for laners to get away. Second reason is that every failed gank is xp towards your level 6 power spike wasted.
Ganking God Status
Once you hit level 6, congratulate yourself, because you just became a beast. Now the reason behind building so many on-hit effects is Warwick's ult will put 5 ticks of all Warwick's on-hit effects on his target. Now when you take into account the Blade of the Ruined King damage effect and the wits end effect, as well as your devourer stacks, you could easily nuke out a carry in a team-fight by yourself.
Simply get level six and start pounding some carries.
With on-hit Warwick the key to team fights is knowing who to pick off first. Now the trick to winning every team fight with on-hit Warwick is to find the person on the enemy team that can wreck your team the hardest. Most of the time this is the enemy ADC or Mid laner. Now all you have to do is when your team is ready is to simply hit "r" and watch them melt to your onslaught of on-hit damage.
Now assuming your team is even remotely smart they will have engaged with you and be fighting in your proximity. Now hit your w and heal up your health with your q and passive.
Since your ult has a pretty low cool-down you can expect to have it pretty much every team fight. Therefore you can pretty much assure your team that at least one of the enemy carries will be quickly taken out of the team fights.
