Introduction / History

Introduction
Greeting Summoners,
Trying Orianna for the first time wasn't hard for at all if you understand how she works. Even though I have a BS degree, it should not take someone too long to figure out how to player her. If you don't know how to play a female champ, then this isn't a guide for ya, J/k. Just think of it as a female, it takes awhile to get used to but when you do, she gives you great satisfaction :)
When you come across good players, you analyze their item build and no matter what champ they play successfully, it's the same concept. Maximize your abilities so you can 1 combo people all game long. And this is what I did.

History
There once was a Piltovian man named Corin Reveck who had a daughter named Orianna, whom he loved more than anything else in the world. Though Orianna had incredible talent for dancing, she was deeply fascinated by the champions of the League of Legends. This fascination compelled her to begin training to become such a champion. It is unfortunate that her sheltered, wide-eyed naivete led her to take unnecessary and dangerous chances which ultimately led to her tragic demise. Orianna's death shattered Corin, driving him into deep depression and an obsession with techmaturgy. He could not stand the void his daughter's death left in his life, so he decided to build a replacement – one that would complete Orianna's dream of joining the League. What was created is the clockwork killing machine that Corin named after his daughter. Knowing that she was destined to be a champion and seeing the way the times were changing, he created The Ball as her pet and protector. This nearly symbiotic creation uses a different type of techmaturgy, relying more heavily on electricity than clockwork.
Orianna and The Ball now fight as Champions in the League of Legends, using the Clockwork Girl's sometimes misguided morality as a compass. She tries in earnest to fit in with those around her. However, no matter how hard she tries, Orianna can never be human and there is always something unnerving and alien about her. Though she attempts social interaction with other champions in the League of Legends, there are few who can get past her exotic nature. To many, it's as if there's nothing inside, that Orianna is just a soulless clockwork shell – a dangerous and deadly one at that. However, all along she remains the perfect daughter in her father's eyes.

Masteries

I chose 9/0/21

Reason: For every AP champ, it's the only variable solution. Great speed, CD reductions, *XP gain(Very important!!!)
*Without the XP gain, you WILL be underleveled, even in mid, you will get outleveled in mid game where you can't stay in mid forever.

CD reduction - This will help you max out that 40% easier which makes your Commmand: Attack a 2.4 second CD time.

Other support abilities gained from Utility Mastery are Death reduction, Mana pool, clarity, flash, summoner's abilities CD...since you ARE a support after all.

Runes

You can try to get MP5 runes instead of AP but I don't find it useful, especially with clarity, you will outlast your opponent longer anyways so the only solution was AP nuke.

Items Choice

The reasoning why I chose these items

Some people chose because of the survival abilities so they can do + combo but if you do this early game, you can't kill much and leave you mana hungry and could possible award you a death certificate since you do not have great escaping.

So I play safe but still have great nuking power.
- I rush this asap, even before . Why? this item at level 6 is godly. You don't even need boots if you can't farm 1950 and some change. Recall at pre level 6 or shortly after. You should already get a kill by now due to harassment and my personal combo that I have yet see anyone use this (Explained below).

Situational Items
Early Game - If your opponent has high hp where you can't kill using your combo then you need to think
1. Opponent's playstyle: aggressive, or defensive
1a. Aggressive: Get before
1b. Defensive: Get before
2. Do you get ganked often in your lane?
3. Does your opponent get Magic Resist Early?

There are just too many situational and choice making but if you keep the same playstyle as I do, you will have more success. Of course, this game isn't made for owning against every champion. Some champion will just too OP against you, i.e no mana champs, healing champs or straight aoe champs will eat you alive. It's just how it is, you have no choice but recall often and losing those valuable experience while gaining NOTHING in your lane.

Skill Sequence

Sexy Combo
+

Why? With this Sexy Combo you can kill the entire creeps wave with just 120 mana (max rank Q + E)while leaving you slow/speed boost and active shield within the CD to escape or prepare your kill combo.

After most of the creeps die and your opponent still hang around
+ + + Sexy Combo if he/she is still twitching.

Being in mid lane will give you most creep kills and you should not have any excuses for not having enough gold right after 6.

Creep kills...HOW?
A lot of people do not know how creep works, so I will explain the neat tricks that I've learned.
1. Tower creep Kills
Don't let the tower kill the creeps. Tank some if needed to.
Prelevel 6: You hit once, Tower hit once, you hit once, tower hit once, you hit once = kill
6-12 : You hit once, Tower hit twice, you hit once = kill
***NOTE: This is all from 100% hp. You need to adjust accordingly from experience to determine if you should hit the creep twice or 3 times***
