Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is not a spam build. Just a build I started using and worked very successfully so I thought I'd share with you all. I apologize in advance for having ALL text and no pictures. I am a HTML noob. If anyone can message me how to add those cool skill/item icons IN the description that would be great!!
It is not perfect, but please be opened minded. I tried my best to be as clear as possible so I apologize in advance if anything seems confusing.
Orianna is a skill shot AP nuker. She is very fun to play and she is not as hard to use. If you like to use skill shots heroes such as Blitz/Morgana/Kennen/Dr. Mundo/Lee Sin etc etc, you will LOVE Orianna. Her ball system is very unique and gives you countless ways to maneuver her skills which in the end = countless of ways to kick butt (I will go into more detail in skills sequence).
Please try her out with BOTS first. She is a skill shot hero and you may need to get used to her ball mechanism. It is really simple, but to prevent any trolls, try her out on bots first.
I believe in a No Troll LoL
There once was a Piltovian man named Corin Reveck who had a daughter named Orianna, whom he loved more than anything else in the world. Though Orianna had incredible talent for dancing, she was deeply fascinated by the champions of the League of Legends. This fascination compelled her to begin training to become such a champion. It is unfortunate that her sheltered, wide-eyed naivete led her to take unnecessary and dangerous chances which ultimately led to her tragic demise. Orianna's death shattered Corin, driving him into deep depression and an obsession with techmaturgy. He could not stand the void his daughter's death left in his life, so he decided to build a replacement - one that would complete Orianna's dream of joining the League. What was created is the clockwork killing machine that Corin named after his daughter. Knowing that she was destined to be a champion and seeing the way the times were changing, he created The Ball as her pet and protector. This nearly symbiotic creation uses a different type of techmaturgy, relying more heavily on electricity than clockwork.
Orianna and The Ball now fight as Champions in the League of Legends, using her sometimes misguided morality as a compass. She tries in earnest to fit in with those around her. However, no matter how hard she tries, Orianna can never be human and there is always something unnerving and alien about her. Though she attempts social interaction with other champions in the League of Legends, there are few who can get past her exotic nature. To many, it's as if there's nothing inside, that Orianna is just a soulless clockwork shell - a dangerous and deadly one at that. However, all along she remains the perfect daughter in her father's eyes.
''Dance with me, my pet. Dance with me into oblivion.''
Pros / Cons
Produce great damage if all skills are used in unison
Great Slow/Speed Boost for herself and teammates
Has shield that provides extra survivability + defense
Says creepy things :/
Very mana dependent early on
Has a relative low AP ratio compared to other heroes
Need decent cool down reduction to maximize damage and survivability
Must be aware of positioning of Orianna + Ball + Enemy + Team Mates
The runes are entirely up to you.
But I do urge keep greater mark of insight and greater glyph of focus. The rest you can get more AP/more health what have you. But try to keep the mark/glyphs to maximize her damage output.
I chose Clarity and Flash. Based on the item system set up, you need clarity. It will allow you to stay in lane longer and get your items faster. With Orianna, you are constantly shooting your ball everywhere and it sucks up mana pretty quickly (no pun).
However if you HATE clarity and want something else, you may want to tear of goddess first, and continue with Rod of Ages.
I believe these items bring out the most in her. Pretty self explanatory. Like I stated before, her effectiveness comes in her low cool down and ability to spam the ball to enemies faces.
I left the last item open for you. It can be defensive, more AP etc. I believe items can never be a one fit all game. But the other 5 items would do well in most matches.
I switch off of leveling ATTACK and DISSONANCE because you used both these skills in unison. I put one point in protect at level 3 because it comes in handy and that extra defense/shield is great early game.
And of course, level up shockwave whenever you can.
AHHHHH. MY FAVORITE PART.
Attack: Skill shot, shoots the ball toward a location for damage. Reduces damage for every enemy it hits.
Dissonance: Damages anyone around the ball + slows enemies or speeds up allies
Protect: Passively gives you defense. Activated gives you a shield
Shockwave: Enemies that are near the ball are sucked in towards the ball for damage (kind of like Galios ult)
Okay, like I stated before, its CRAZY how you can manipulate the ball. I will give you a feel examples. And basically, you can mix these up based on the situation.
For Damage outputs...
A) Attack --> Dissonance (repeat, no matter where the ball is. But ball location causes this to be very annoying)
This is your main skill sequence. It is to harass and cause damage.
B) Attack --> Shockwave --> Dissonance --> Protect (yourself to team mate) --> A --> A --> A until everyone dies :D
For Running Away or Saving Allies...
C) Protect --> Dissonance
Once you do A and B and they are chasing you. Protect yourself and activate Dissonance. This will give you a speed boost AND it will slow any champion chasing you.
D) Same as C, but use it on Ally
The shockwave + dissonance is just OP!! But the perimeter is quite small so you kind of need the enemy already bunched up. So be careful!
Again I am sorry for not having any cool videos and pictures. I am such a noob. I would if I knew how. (I still don't know how people record themselves...message me if you know how!)
Like I said, this build works for me. It is a skill shot hero so you might need some practice. But honestly, if you are good with blitz, you will be an Expert with Orianna.
Please comment, bad or good. I likez me some comments. Thank you Mobafire/LoLerz
