Introduction

Hello everybody and welcome to my first guide. I decided to share my epic Pantheon build because I've noticed people calling me over powered after I literally blowed their health bar :D
Also sorry if I have some mistakes in my grammar, I am from Finland. Okay lets get into the guide.

I am going to make jungling guide for Pantheon as soon as I get to known how to jungle with him!

Pros / Cons

Pantheon can be played as full ad, off-tank or tank (rare). This guide helps you to improve your gameplay as off-tank Pantheon. There is also AD build if you like to do more damage.

Pros
    Powerful in early game
    Passive!
    Spear shot and its damage
    Grand Skyfall provides great ganks
Wins top lane against almost every champion
Spell combo -> TONS OF DAMAGE :D
Well used Grand Skyfall grants you 100% kill
    Once again PASSIVE!!!

Cons
    Mana runs out very fast
    Gets easily ganked
Grand Skyfall cannot be used 1v1
Grand Skyfall is hard to master
This build has low Magic Resist

Runes

I don't have much to say about runes. I don't like runes that start with low damage, AP, health etc and get better each level. Runes are for better early game and thats why you want maximum effect from your runes straight from the beginning of the game.

Masteries

Nothing special to say about masteries. I just want to mention that Havoc is horrible mastery!! DO NOT USE IT!!! Havoc gives you 1.5% increased damage. At the beginning of the game you have let's say 70 attack damage. Okay 1.5% from 70 is 70 x 0.015 = 1.05. So you do 71.05 damage, thats pathetic when you think that you wasted 3 mastery points to extra 1,05 early game damage. In late game, let's say you have 340 attack damage. 1.5% from 340 is 340 x 0.015 = 5.1. Wow, I have no words... You have 340 attack damage + 5.1... Seriously, don't waste your mastery points to havoc.

Items

I like to start with boots and potions. With boots and potions you get early lane sustain and you can prevent enemy jungler early ganks. Enemy jungler can't catch you with with clothe armor ;) Mana potion is because you run out of mana extremely fast and for more spear shots. Like I said in cons, Pantheon is very thirsty of mana. In early game with one combo (Aegis of Zeonia -> Heartseeker Strike -> Spear Shot) you lose about third of your mana. Thats alot!

The Brutalizer is because of some attack damage and CDR before building some health. Some of you may wonder why Berserker's Greaves. Here is why I love them for Pantheon: Passive. Every fourth basic attack activates your passive. With attack speed boots you get your passive more quickly and thats a huge boost when engaging an enemy. Of course, if you want, you can buy Mercury's Treads too for some tenacity.

Now when you have some AD from The Brutalizer and boots, let's get into "Atmogs", Atmas Impaler and Warmog's Armor. These two items combined to each other is perfect for Pantheon and may other off-tanks.

Now it's time to get some more AD. Very deadly weapon. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bloodthirster! Yes, now you thirst blood AND mana :D At this point farming minions and clearing jungle should be easy for Pantheon and full stacks for BT should come in no time. And last but not least, Guardian Angel. Great late game item because of extra armor and MR.

Like I mentioned in Pros / Cons, this build gives you more armor than MR. Therefore try to avoid getting in the way of extremely high damage burst champions like LeBlanc or Anivia. Also your passive isn't effective at all against ability power champions.

Skill Sequence

Spear Shot is awesome skill. Thats why you want to max it first and harass enemy laner and out play him by making him use all health pots, constantly using recall and miss that gold and xp.
Heartseeker strike doesn't do very much damage unless you locate it well. Easiest way is to use it immediately after you have stunned an enemy. And obviously you max your stun spell last because your other spells do more damage. AND OF COURSE! You improve your [R] at levels 6,11 and 16 because Grand Skyfall does damage in the middle of the landing area 400/700/1000!!! And when you can handle your Grand Skyfall, you are a "killing machine" with your ultimate ganks.

REMEMBER! Grand Skyfall has 3.5 second casting time and its landing area is shown to teammates AND enemies! It is really hard to get good timing on it. Always remember timing when using your ult!

NOTE! There is another way to skill up your abilities. It costs more mana to damage enemy but I think its more effective in early game. I tried it once and it actually worked. First skill to max is Heartseeker Strike. Because it does damage over duration, it is more damaging than any one-time use spell, if you know what I mean. Because Heartseeker Strike is very deadly in early game with your stun ability, it also costs more mana because you have to use all of your spells to harass your opponent. When you have one maxed skill, it's time to max your Spear Shot which is good mid game spell.
I recommend this style after you handle Pantheon. At least try it, its more fun :-)

Team Work

Pantheons ultimate is all about timing and team work. To get great ganks, you have to get other laner (for example your Brand) force enemy mid champ (Lux for example) to walk towards deadly zone of Grand Skyfall. Enemy Lux has now two options, walk into your ultimate or fight against your Brand until I land and come help my dear teammate. And both of those options guarantee a kill for your team. NOTE! Guaranteed kills are only properly used ultimate IF enemy doesn't use flash to flee from your Grand Skyfall.

Summoner Spells

Nothing special. Flash is very good for Pantheon because he has no skills to escape from, except ultimate that can also be cancelled with stun, suppress, silence etc. For more experienced spartans Exhaust would be good because its very good for top laners! Ignite is good in early game to get early kills and get fed -> OP!! Exhaust would be more recommended when you constantly ward top bush preventing ganks and get away easily without flash.

Summary

So Pantheon is more tha just a baker.. Spartan that can be deadlier top laner than you ever thought. Pantheon can be played as full AD, off-tank or full tank. Oh and I started doing this guide at midnight and finished like 2am :D I am gonna update this guide as much as I discover something new and awesome for Pantheon! Hope this guide helps you win your lane (:
