Introduction

I am not going to make this long and windy. There is no use in spending days writing out how to play this toon. Everyone has their own way of doing things. Most of you will adapt the play style anyway. This is just a guide to show you a different side of pantheon that only a handful of players that i have seen use. Use the build and adapt how you see fit. This is my build and it could be a foundation for yours. Please, don't rate this bad if you tried it once and had a bad game. Depending on your play style it might take a little bit to get used to.

There are some misconceptions about Pantheon. One of the biggest is that he is a tank. Well... yes.... he is. But not in the sense that you can jump into a 3 vs 1 and sit there until your DPS arrives. Pantheons tanking ability is limited to 1-2 champions at a time for a short duration. Pantheon is slow. Slow movement, slow attack speed. With items and runes he is pretty quick. Pantheon does a lot of damage, and thats his best asset. Slow and powerful doesn't win you the race. You have to be quick and powerful. This guide will show you how to make use of Pantheon in a way that may better suit his abilities.

So... many of you are going to ask... Why such a weird build? The point of this build is not to use pantheons tanking ability. Pantheon is a very powerful assassin. This build is centered around survivability and attack speed. Pantheon has a strong attack already. The faster you can do that damage the quicker you take down your opponent and either take down the second or retreat to heal. This guide uses his raw power to completely own everything on the battlefield. The Sky Fall ability allows you to jump a quarter of the map and get the drop on the enemy. The enhanced attack speed allows you to take down your opponent quickly and easily. I have been using this build for quite a while. You many not survive a 3 vs 1, but its better than not killing anything at all isn't it?

Runes

The rune choices reflect the build.

Mark Of Desolation: Armor penetration is key verses tanks. You need to be able to cut through their armor to take them down quickly.

Mark Of Furor: Critical Damage, we all know that the best damage comes from crits. Adding to his already powerful attacks, you enhance the damage, killing the enemy quickly.

Greater Mark Of Alacrity: This build is centered around attack speed.... enough said.

Greater Quintessence of Alacrity: Again, attack speed.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation: More armor penetration.

Greater Glyph of Alacrity: More attack speed.

Greater Glyph of Furor: More armor pen.

Greater Glyph of Warding: Magic resistance is one of the key elements of survivability. While i did not include a lot of it, a little extra helps. Remember, this is not a tank build.

Greater Seal of Resilience: More armor adds to survivability.

Early Game

The early game is not about killing. Its about surviving to make gold and exp. and building up your survivability for mid/late game. Once your tanking items are set, you move on to attack/movement speed items. In the early game, don't think you can just jump into a fight and win.
