ive played panth for a long time. for the last few months i had completly dropped brutalizer out of my build. i was running flat ad marks and quints would rush bloodthirster into last whisper and build resistances and health as needed after that. if i had a good early game i would snowball into an unstoppable force...but when i didnt...i failed miserably. so after reading this i decided to give ur runes and build a go. i was suprised how well it had worked....i was kind of skeptical that 2 gp5s would work on panth but you proved me wrong sir. this is an excellent guide well written lots of detail +1 from me keep up the good work duty

I've used flad AD marks and Quints myself but they tend to fall very fast. However Arp marks with AD Quints is viable, but it will be less effective against solo top enemies that build armor early on.
I was very negative about gp5 items on Pantheon, untill I used them myself. I believe they are a bit more trustworthy start compaired to double Doran's Blade early on. You do lose some damage but you get way better sustain and they help greatly finishing your build faster.

Thanks for your comment :)

I have a question
Infinity edge's passive that gives more 50% dmg to cri hit
is it stuck with the passive of Heartseeker Strike?
And the spear cri hit will deal 200%?

btw great guide!
but I prefer CDR glyph
and If the passive of the infinity realy stuck, I think I will get it insted of Trinity.

@Big Hans: Thanks a lot m8 :) I hope the Pantheon vs the Word chapter gave you enough information to counter certain opponents.

@Potomer: The passive of Infinity Edge works only for your criticals that are produced from your basic attacks, and thus it doesn't make Spear Shot to hit harder. Still, the passive of Infinity Edge does work with the 100% crit chance of Heartseeker Strike against enemies with less that 15% health. The reason why Infinity Edge works so well is because it can deal destructive damage in conjunction with the passive of Trinity Force and eradicate fragile targets in an instant.

+ I love how you explain your skills really well along with tips.
+ Great list of countering champions in top lane.

- 23-0-7 masteries, really? I think 21-9-0 or 9-21-0 or 21-0-9 should be there.
- Your Summoner Spells section could use columns, so the text will appear behind the picture. Same for Ability and Item section.
- No mention at all about jungle Pantheon? You should try to cover every aspect of the champion.

So far my tips, over to the ratings:

Appearance: 8/10
Cheat Sheet: 7/10
Contents: 9/10

Giving you an overall mark of an 8! Congratulations with your upvote! :)

The reason I post these masteries is because they are more helpful to unexperienced Pantheon players compaired to the 21/9/0. However i explain both ways inside the guide, but its probably a good idea to swap the main masteries for 21/9/0 because they might give the wrong impression.

I do use columns for the item section^^ I guess something went wrong. Still not that experienced with conding but I will try to improve as much as I can.

Well the guide is utterly focused on Lanetheon. Tbh I don't like jungling (or when I jungle is because I have to not because I want to) and I am not as an experienced jungler as I am a laner. And I don't believe that Pantheon belongs in the jungle either. He can pull some godlike early gangs but his jungle speed is so terrible that he becomes very outfarmed and outleveled.
For me, lane>jungle.

Becides all that the guide took me almost three months to complete, and by that time I was so tired writing it that I didn't have any spare energy for it.

I agree that solo top Pantheon is best, but I have seen people jungle him. That is why I thought you should at least mention it ^^

As for the use of columns, here is an example of what I mean:

My favorite starting item for solo top Pantheon. The health regeneration allows you to stay in lane for a very long time and regenerate the health you will lose from early game exchanges. Your Health Potion adds even more sustain to the mix. A very good combination against any type of character.

Code:

(Literally quoted from your guide)
If you do not want a picture at the right, just delete it. I checked it and the lay-out is fine too :)
