Build based on armor penetration, with high crit, damage and attack speed. Meki Pendant serves well as ashe's starting item because it allows good lane pressure whether it is in single lane or with a teamate with constant ability use. Volley should be your first move as it is a handy tool to spread your damage and get minions down early on.
Follow as usual with Ashe's abilities, ice arrow next for snare, possible ganks and support. Hawkshot as your third ability to increase your map awareness early game, it always helps to have this ability before you get your ult.
Beserker's Greaves for added attack speed and movement, quite simple.
You should now start to build infinity edge because you should be starting to use your moves in unison to bring down opponents. The added damage and crit chance enhances Ashe's true dps.
The amount of damage that infinity edge gives you is sufficient for mid or even end game, thats why we build phantom dancer next, your crits should be doing a lot of damage by now and the phantom dancer helps sustain this damage with extra crit and attack speed. The movement speed helps your support capability in fights and with hawkshot you are able to keep constantly on the move with great map awareness.
Black cleaver is an excellent item for Ashe because of her very fast attack speed and damage just from auto attack, the armor reduced with your runes and added crit chance are sure to bring anyone down.
If there is time left in the battle build last whisper and bloodthirster, at this point damage sustained to enemies is more than sufficient and you can sell your meki pendant as your moves should be isolated to team fights only and no longer the need for the regen to constantly kill minions.
Another key issue of Ashe is the use of her ult, when to use it, when not to use it. Ashe's ult is a key support ability for team fights, ashe does more than enough damage without the ult to bring enemies down. The ult is a key fight initiator for team fights, isolate a low health and armored opponent that has strayed a little from their team. The arrow is magic, any team mates in the vicinity will be sure to focus on that enemy to bring them down fast and more often than not your team is now 4v5, a key advantage.
It is important to communicate with your teamates to set up skill shots with your arrow, tell them to let you know when anyone they know on the opposing team is low on HP. Many people tend to recall at their tower, out of sight....however aim your arrow on ocassion at their tower you will be surprised.
Aiming your ult is a key factor too, look ahead of where your opponent is running. This is helpful in the jungle as the paths that they will follow are sometimes obvious and aiming up these paths and a little bit of timing goes a long way for successful ganks.
Teleport and Ghost too as summoner spells. Teleport for skill shot, ghost to get away, ashe is squishy and you dont want to hang around for long sometimes
