Introduction

Hello, my name is Deathbarrage and this will be my guide to Lee sin. Lee sin is a melee character that specializes in doing burst dps. He is a very versatile character that can jungle very well however I will be focusing on his laning capabilities.

Lore

Lee Sin's background

As a young teen, Lee Sin was intent on becoming a summoner. His will and dedication were unmatched by any of his peers, and his skill drew the attention of Reginald Ashram, the Leagues High Councilor at the time. While studying at the Arcanum Majoris, Lee Sin became frustrated with instruction paced for the other students. He spent his free time researching the nuances of summoning in hopes of graduating sooner. He made amazing advances in his arcane studies, surpassing all other students. By all indications, he would have become one of the Leagues greatest summoners were it not for one terrible mistake. Too impatient, he attempted to test his ability by summoning a beast from the Plague Jungles. What he summoned instead was a young boy, but not in one piece. He barely had time to look the boy in what was once his face before the jumbled human mass fell lifeless to the floor. A League investigation later revealed that the boys entire village was obliterated by feedback from the ritual.

Lee Sins talents were so promising that the League was willing to overlook the incident, but he could never forgive himself. He left the Institute and journeyed to the Shojin Monastery for eternal repentance, swearing never to practice magic again. Years later, hoping to atone for his crime with martyrdom, he set himself ablaze as a protest of the Noxian occupation of Ionia. He remained alive in this state, enduring searing agony for weeks. His actions paved the way for a League match wherein Ionia prevailed, but by the time he was doused, his eyes had been burned completely from their sockets. Hailed as a savior, he was reborn, and his will to act invigorated. He joined the League of Legends to continue his atonement with sweat and blood, a true monks only possessions.

Jungling

Lee sin in a very capable jungle although i will not be covering it in this guide very much i feel it needs to be mentioned, when jungling you should start out with a cloth armour and 5 pots as usual with any jungler and should get 1 point in W straight away, and begin a either the wolf camps or the double golems. You should then proceed to wraith camp then red buff and from then on clear the jungle as you feel right the blue buff is not a necessity as you use energy but the cool down reduction is a very nice buff to have.

- Not very effective if under farmed
- Very easily taken down if focused

Items

Why do i start with boots
I start with boots because the speed bonus helps alot when trying to escape early game and also when chasing and in my opinion are very underestimated as a starting item. I also like to take boots because it enables me to take 3 health potions which will lengthen your time in lane meaning you can out farm and out level opponents who will need to go back.

Berserker Greaves
I get berserker greaves on lee sin because i feel the benefits alot from the attack speed boost most of his damage will come from auto attacks. However as always boots are situational and they can always be swapped for something such as merc treads of ninja tabi.

BloodThirster
The reason i get the BloodThirster is because of the life steal this enables you to commit to a fight then after it jungle and be back at full hp after killing the double golems and wolf camp. The Damage doesntt hurt either :P.

Phantom Dancer
This is the core item for Lee sin because it allows you to get an extra few hits in during your combo which could grab you a couple of kills that you thrive for while playing lee sin. It also gives you alot of critical chance which will give you that edge against other opponents.

Frozen Mallet
The Frozen Mallet is a very useful item for Melee Dps the passive alone is worth the money because it slows opponents allowing you to chase more effectively and who can turn down the hp it gives you especially when you are going to be getting up in the face of the opponent constantly.

Last Whisper
This item is your main item in late game gives 40 extra damage and also gives armor pen that will be very beneficial when your oppoents start stacking armor after the see the damage you are dealling. Nothing much to say about this, its a Must buy.

Madreds Bloodrazor
This is where the build becomes flexable, this item is all situational i tend to get Madreds due to alot of characters with high hp late game however you can never go wrong with getting another PhantomDancer or BloodThirster, or even if needed a Warmogs for survivability.

Skill Sequence

This is Lee Sins bread and butter: COMBOS, he is all about dashing in crippling an opponent then dashing out again.
When using Lee sin you want to be trying to do 2 melee attacks between each ability this will maximize your dps due to his passive giving you an attack speed boost after every ability used. Without Further ado let me show you my favorite combos:

Fighting in lane:
Q,Q,Meele,Meele,Exhaust,E,Meele,Meele,E,Meele,Meele,W,W,Meele,Meele, Then repeat if you have the energy or chase if the enemy is low.

Chasing an opponent: Q,Q,E,E,Meele,Meele,W,W,Meele,Meele,Q,Q

Fleeing from an opponent: E,E,W to ally, Ghost, RUN! :P

Summoner Spells

Ghost: I Pick Ghost because it gives him great escape ability and improves his chasing skills dramatically and coupled with exhaust not even a 1k speed Rammus can outrun you ;).

Exhaust: Bread and Butter with lee sin, Exhaust will give you the edge when fighting due to the attack speed drop on opponents and slowing them enough so they cannot escape as you demolish them.
