Hello World if you have ever sat in the store looking for a character to buy, or you are looking through the free champions to be. I would advise you play or buy poppy. For one she is cheap and she can do too much damage. For two she is just a all around fun champion to learn. The way i normally play Poppy with a triforce and damage, but the other day i felt like playing an ap poppy and i came up with this incredible build. So if you like poppy try this build and Comment for me :)
For Marks I get Armor Penetration Because she is more of a burst damage character then an overtime damage character. This helps her burst damage a lot being able to handle tanks as well with more armor Penetration than most.
For Seals I get evasion because with her you have 2 skills that you use mostly and her W which you use not nearly as much except for chasing. But getting evasion is good because poppy doesnt really have attack speed a lot so if you use your skills and have to fight for a couple seconds to get down the last little bit of health. Your going to need evasion, Especially against people with stuns and people like tryndamere that do a lot of damage when they are hurt.
For Glyphs i Get magic penetration Because if your going ap she is all magic damage so have a little more magic penetration cant hurt anything right? Right you do even more damage.
For Quints I get even More armor Penetration just to be Mean :)
With this Build i tried to go with ap items that would encourage poppy's skills and help do tons of damage.
-80 Ability Power, 350 Mana, 30 Magic Resist, 7 Movement Speed. UNIQUE Passive: 100% chance when an ability is used that your next physical attack deals an additional 100% of your Ability Power in damage. This effect has a 3 second cooldown.
The passive which gives a 100% chance to do more ability power When using a spell can come in handy while using her q because using it charges it then hitting deals the damage of her q plus the Extra Damage of the Lich Bane.
I also Get Merc Treads to reduce crowd control and gives her the ability to catch and wreck the enemy.
-25 Magic Resist. UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement 2 and reduces the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, snares, sleeps, and immobilizes by 35%.
Next i Get a Nashors Tooth Because you need the attack speed with poppy plus you need the cooldown reduction so you can Spam your abilities easier to do maximum damage.
-50 Attack Speed, 55 Ability Power, 10 Mana Per 5 Sec. UNIQUE Passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 25%
Next is guinsoos RageBlade because she gets more ability power and attack speed as it stacks up to 8 which she can really use in battle It helps her attack fast and wreck for more damage.
-35 Attack Damage, 45 Ability Power. Passive: On attack or spell cast, increases your Attack Speed by 4% and Ability Power by 6. Lasts 5 seconds (stacks up to 8 times).
Then after Guinsoos i Get Rylais Crystal Scepter Because it gives survivability and A lot of Ability Power.
-80 Ability Power, 500 Health. Passive: Dealing spell damage slows the target's movement speed by 35% for 2 seconds (15% for multi-target spells). This helps for slowing your target in battle also so you can catch with heroic charge.
My final item If you get this fair would be to get an Abyssal Scepter So it gives you magic resistence and knocks theirs down.
-70 Ability Power, 57 Magic Resist. UNIQUE Aura: Reduces the Magic Resist of nearby enemy champions by 20.
These Items should lead you to victory if you play smart and effective.
My reason i get my skill in this order is because if you max her E and Q first:
Her E--Poppy charges at an enemy and carries them for a short distance. The initial impact deals 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+40% of ability power) magic damage. If they collide with terrain, her target takes 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+40% of ability power) magic damage and will be stunned for 1.5 / 1.5 / 1.5 / 1.5 / 1.5 seconds. Doing all that and it is also her stun so it wrecks with the accompany of her Q:
Her Q--Poppy crushes her opponent, dealing attack damage (+60% of ability power) plus 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 and 8% of her target's maximum health in bonus damage. The bonus damage dealt cannot exceed 75 / 150 / 225 / 300 / 375. This i what does the Devastating Blow lol No pun intended but it is what does the killing mostly.
Then she is one of the best turret divers because her ultimate makes it so only the target she targets is what does damage.
Her Ultimate--For 6 seconds, Poppy is immune to any damage and abilities from enemies other than her target.
In addition, Poppy's attacks deal 20 / 30 / 40% increased damage to the marked target.
This makes her one of the most successful turret divers in the game.
Then her W is last but can be very helpful and effective.
Her W--Passive: Upon being hit or attacking an enemy, Poppy's armor and damage are increased by 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 for 5 seconds. This effect can stack 10 times.
Active: Poppy gains max stacks of Paragon of Demacia and her movement speed is increased by 17 / 19 / 21 / 23 / 25% for 5 seconds.
Which makes her run faster and she is able to catch the enemys to Kill them.
Pros / Cons
She is an amazing burst damage.
Good 1 v 1.
Good team helper.
Not a lot of damage after skills are on CoolDown.
Harder to learn than most champs.
