Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
Kage's Lucky Pick is optional. If you don't think you will farm champions well enough for this build, go ahead and pick one up, and early, instead of getting RoA on your (ideally) second recall.
The order the items are in the build (past RoA) aren't necessarily the order that YOU should get them. While it is what i do, you don't have to do the same. The items are awesome, so you should be sure to get them all if the game isn't over. Like in those stupid games that go for more than an hour. This build basically secures success early game, almost completely in midgame, but it allows you to stay ALIVE in the end game, which is one of the most important things, because Anivia has enough CC to help your whole team escape a really bad situation.
This build is somewhat viable. What i mean by this is that Anivia, as well as some other AP casters, have the ability to offtank, yet still put out some whopping damage. This is pulled off by rushing the RoA, and getting either the Abyssal Scepter and Zhonya's Hourglass or both. If you want to, you can double up on the Abyssal Scepter for MR (if needed) and skip Zhonya's Hourglass (if needed), or vice versa. The wonderful thing about these two items is they still put Anivia with an enormous damage output when combined with Rabbadibadon's Deathcap and the Void Staff.
NOTE: If you don't want to get Zhonya's or the Abyssal Scepter, and would rather go for some quick AP and cooldown reduction, get MORELLO'S EVIL TOME. It'll help you recover when you miss a Q, instead of having to wait 8-12 seconds, you can get it back in 6-10 seconds!
Pros / Cons
- You're awesome
- You do damage
- You will become really hard to focus in team fights
- You offer tons of CC to your team
- If you suck, you suck.
- Getting the Hourglass and Abyssal Scepter may hinder your ability to get other powerful items instead.
- Requires a STUPID amount of gold to pull off. I would recommend this build to Anivia players who are good with Anivia and plan on getting kills to make up for the excessive gold. And, if you think about it, you will be a the focus target anyway, no matter how much armor and MR you go for.
Farm. That's the only way you can pull this off. But, IF you pull this off, you will be in heaven, an unkillable and unstoppable nuking fiend.
By farming I mean farming not only minions but also enemy champions, by getting kills. Anivia is a champion that you can get away with killstealing, because when they whine about it, just say "Hey, I'm Anivia, and I farm champions." Hopefully, of course, you will be a great AP carry late game if you DO killsteal, instead of just killstealing and losing.
