Skill Sequence

I level up alpha strike first cuz it is your primary skill for farming and harrasing. you could leave it at lvl 3 and max out wuju style first.

meditate doesnt suit very well for early game not because it costs a lot of mana or blah blah. It's because if you take meditate, you will lose a big chunck of your damage out put. besides.. teleport is doesnt cost 135 bucks in LOL.

i usually jump in the enemy and kill one or two, and now the enemy is jumping on me. so i use meditate and leave the rest for my teammates to come. It is used to make master yi survive a few more seconds in a intensive team fight.

Items

Item Slot of Atma's Impaler can be replaced by, Force of Nature, Blood Thirster, and blah, use ur imagination. really depends on the team you are facing.

Ghost Blade gives ALL the DPS you need UNLESS your enemy have 3000-4000 HP. then u need ur infinity edge to do damage. but what kind of Yi would focus a tank first?

Phantom Dancer is a **** item on Yi Believe it or not.

Ghost Blade gives everything you need. and the difference is the burst damage that Ghost blade can do in the few seconds but Dancer Can't. Besides, If Yi Cannot finish his enemy in a few second. He will generally not survive anyways.

The reason why I take Shurelya's Reverie is because, the stone gives u gold, mana, and health regen. EVERYTHING U NEED FOR LANING PHASE. U get it to constantly spam ur alpha strike. Once
u upgrade it into Shurelya's Reverie, it gives u a vital 330 health, cd reduction and active increases ur speed by 40% ( like ur ulti ) for 3 sec. Use it to join a battle or to retreat.

You can keep the stone since it's really all you need if you dont like shurelya but i always find that 40% speed save my *** and very useful. but it does cost 1400 gold. which u can make a phage first.

Farming

If u find urself having a hard time laning cuz u dont like ur partner, simply go to the jungle at lvl 2 or 3. alpha strike owns. and u grab a few wards, start roaming around.

Decide when to farm and when to join the fight is very crucial. cuz Yi is a very good last hitter. and think about it. killing a champ gives you around 300 gold. but a minion only gives you 20+.

But remember, Pushing is your primary target.

the way of success Master Yi is when and how u enter the battle field. the thing is, if Master Yi wants to run, nobody can stop him. Just remember that, if you cannot win, retreat never hurts. especially in late game, u find a bush and meditate and then you are good to fight AGAIN.

I generally stay out of fight and backdoor myself. extreme farming phase. until u have 2800+ hp, then u can push with ur team.

My build so far has no life drain. I'm still thinking about w/e I really need it or not.

And as you can see, i have no CC reduction items. it's because if you get CC you get CC, you cant avoid it. But while you are not being CC, how much damage can you do really matters. You are a DPS not Tank. Try Letting your teammates take the hit, and you sneak around and kill their carry. Let's face it, all carries are afraid of CC. You could make the boots or the stone into some CC reduction items. It's really up to you. or even take clense if you wanna.
But I would rather go for more damage cuz most of the time, you are trying to backdoor. but not a teamfight.
