if you play really good with blitz, this can work good. but you will need some kills for that, because without outleveling and outfarming your opponents, you won't be doing more damage than them (depends on heroes of course) because blitz two magic damage abilities have a relatively long cooldown, so if your enemies survive the initial burst they can easily cc/stun you and use their escape abilities.
that said, this works well in a pub but not anymore on higher levels of plays.
