This guide is a Pure Ability Power Build for Akali. Allowing you to kill squishy champions within seconds, then moving on to the next one. Not only can you kill squishys but champions with greater health can be broken down due to your incredible damage output and the many slowing effect your have from your items.

These items maximize your Ability Power and damage so that you can destroy enemies like they are minions. Also you have 2 items that allow you to slow enemies down so that you can break down enemies with lots of health. With your hextech gunblade, rylais scepter and 3 shadow dance charges there is almost no escape from Akali and her amazing damage. Her last item Zonya's hourglass is for survival, this is your back up item for sticky situations and for stalling time to recover your energy. Also with an item like Lich Bane you can destroy turret and inhibitors in a couple of hits by using your crescent slash to make it activate.

These Runes are chosen to deal maximum damage to champions. Killing them fast enough next to a tower so that you don't have to stick around and tank all the hits. Having Ability power per level runes allows to to maximize the amount of ability power you can get from runes.

Mastery build 9/20/1 allows maximum survival since your runes buff all your damage, something must cover for your lack of defense when your twilight shroud is on cooldown.

Ghost is chosen allowing you to chase enemies down and unleash your deadly combos. Exhaust allows you to slow champions so that you have more time to finish off your combo rotation.

Jungling is not a very good idea. While laning you can last hit with your "Q" skill. Great attack animation for last hitting minions. Crescent Slash can be spammed on huge creep waves and kill all the minions in 2-3 hits.

Excellent farmer all game. Early game you can last hit with your "Q" skill. Mid Game you are even godlier at farming, you can kill creep waves with 2-3 Crescent Slashes.

Using this build you must be quick so that you don't miss your attack after using Mark of the Assassin otherwise you will not be dealing damage to your full potential. Right after you pop you mark hit Crescent Slash to end the combo.

To start the fight in the lane use Mark of the Assassin on your target then Shadow Dance to them and hit them ASAP to pop the Mark. After use Crescent Slash to finish off. While ganking open with Shadow Dance then Mark of the Assassin, pop the mark then finish off with Crescent Slash.

*VERY IMPORTANT TIPS*

1. When harassing with Mark of the Assassin it is not always necessary to pop the mark to deal the extra damage but if possible it would double the damage. While going for the kill you must hit them to pop the Mark to deal the extra damage, otherwise you won't be dealing maximum damage and may fail to get the kill. An Akali that does not attack after Mark of the Assassin is a fail Akali.

2. In a team fight make sure your one of the last ones to join the fight so you are not targeted due to the fact that you have low health. Having such a great damage output champion die early in the fight can make your lose the fight for your team. While it is important to go in last in the fight don't go in too late or your team maybe already dead and complain that you didn't help them. If you are still targeted in the fight first use your twilight shroud and begin destroying them when they have moved on to another target.

3. Twilight Shroud is not only used to hide or increase your Magic Resist/Armor but it can also be used to slow enemies and scaring them off when they are chasing an allied champion if they believe you are waiting inside to kill them.

Although she does not have any skill to assist her teammates she deals great damage to support their stuns, fears, slows and other crowd controls.
