Introduction

Hello everyone Niphante here.
First of all I have to say, that im a quite moderate Player and I must mention that im German so im sorry for any grammar mistake or wrong word so please leave a comment if you find any of these mistakes. Thank you.

Before I start the Guide you must know that all these builds are used in normal matches so I don't know how they work in ranked Games. And all this is for the 5-vs-5 Map but if you are playing 3-vs-3 try it and say how it works maybe I'll add a 3-vs-3 chapter.

It's fine if you only use the Build without reading the complete Guide but if you do please leave a Comment and/or sent me a message with your Stats or a picture of it. I would add them to show off how it worked for other players then me!

Runes

I have to say that all the Runes are personal preferences - Thats why I added so much Runes to the different builds.

That are the Runes I use:
Greater Mark of Desolation
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction
Greater Quintessence of Health

But above I mentioned other Choices that are fine too.

Masteries

I took 3 different Mastery Specializations, because I think it is again personal preference but also it is a matter of playstyle!
Here are short comments why I took them.

Tanky: I mostly play tanky Trundle if we got no "real" tank or if we already had enough damage dealer so my masteries are 1/21/8 because I need 1 Point in Exhaust 1 in Ghost and 4 in Awareness and the last 21 Points are going into defensive Stats like Armor, Magic Resist, Life and Damage Block .

DPS: I use my DPS Trundle build whenever I can because I love the Damage Output from Rabid Bite + Trinityforce. So my Masteries look like 1 Point in Ghost and 4 Points in Awareness in the Utility Tree. And 22 Points in the Offensive Tree to get the Maximum Critchance, Attackspeed, Cooldown and Damage out of it.

Jungle: Im not that fast as a Jungler but thats not because i took the "wrong" masteries it is mostly my own fault. So i get 1 Point in Smite and 18 defensive Points likeArmor, Magic Resist, Dodge Chance and Life .The last few Points are going into Ghost, Awareness and Utility Mastery for more Experience and a longer Buff duration.

Items

There are a few core items that are what I think must have like Trinity Force because of the nice damage buff and the spammable Q spell called Rabid Bite another core item is Mercury's Treads because of the Insane Crowd Control reduction of Merc's + Contaminate. The last core item is a attackspeed/lifesteal item for a little bit survive ability.

The rest of the match you must watch your Enemy's Items and Damage because you must counter them with good contrary items.

If they got a mixed team I'll mostly get a Banshee's Veil and an Randuin's Omen / Guardian Angel.

Against a heavy Magical Team I normally get a Banshee's Veil and a Force of Nature or two Force of Nature.

Against a heavy Physical Team I am used to get a Sunfire Aegis and a Randuin's Omen or if they have 1 or 2 burst damage dealers like Master Yi or Nocturne i get a Thornmail and a Randuin's Omen.

Against a Tanky Team with 2 or more heavy Life/Armor Champions like Rammus, Malphite, Dr. Mundo, Sion or Singed I get a Madred's Bloodrazor and a Last Whisper or a Black Cleaver .

Phases of the Game

Early Game:

At the very beginning of every match you must stay back and farm a bit don't overextend or hunt someone just stay with your lanepartner and kill someone if you could get him easily.
You should farm a Phage and Mercury's Treads. This is must have it would be even better to get a Sheen or the complete Trinity Force. Now the Mid game should start and with it you should start Ganking Mid and Bot/Top.

Mid Game:

Now you got your Trinity Force and your Rabid Bite from now you're able to get much more Kills so that you end up with Stark's Fevor and a item that depends on your own Choice.

Late Game:

Now you're likly your team's Off-Tank and you should also do a nice amount of damage.
At this Phase of the Game you should be able to kill everyone 1-vs-1 (not the best choice because it's a team game but possible) and you're able to start every Fight just throw your Agony + Contaminate + Pillar of Filth in/on and start clubbing your enemy's with your spammable Rabid Bite but watch out to get the maximum out of your Trinity Force.

The Game Should be over!

Skill Sequence

You want to start every single Fight with Contaminate followed by Pillar of Filth then you must try to rush into their Backline. While doing this try to hit their DPS meele with Rabid Bite and their tank with Agony. If you reached their Backline start spamming ([Rabid Bite]] and Contaminate. Don't forget to use your Randuin's Omen to slow the enemy's attack and movement speed.

Skill Use/Tips how to use them right

Always try to Rabid Bite the enemy's highest physical damage dealer to lower their Damage Output.

Use Pillar of Filth to close possible escape routes and or block a player so that he is slowed and has to move around the Pillar.

Don't use Contaminate as first spell in team fight! Use Pillar of Filth to split their Team and after that cast Contaminate to avoid long duration stuns or to "dodge" exhaust.

Your Ultimate Agony on their high Armor/Magic Restist Champion if you need more Armor/Magic Resist or on their High Life Champion to "steal" some life. It's best placed on any Tank or Semi Tank.

Summoner Spells

As for the Summoner Spells it's again personal preference!
So i won't tell you what to take but i want to show you some Reason's why I take them or why not.

Ghost: I took this Spell because it's good in combination with Contaminate.

Ignite: I don't use it but it's a really good spell feel free to take it and to finish of low life champions.

Heal: I dont like it because you got lifesteal and your passive Decompose are heal enough.

Exhaust:I take it to disable my enemy's so that i get less damage and to stop them running away in combination with Pillar of Filth

Clairvoyance:It's a quite usefull spell ... if handed right but leave it to your supporters or take it if no one else does and u think you could need it.

Clarity: I'm fine with my mana pool even without mana regeneration runes but if u get to often low on mana take it it could get you a kill or an assist because of a spell that you wouldn't be able to cast without it.

Cleanse:JUST NO! Sorry i know it's a very good spell but Contaminate + Mercury's Treads + Cleanse just would be an overkill.

Smite:Take it if you want to jungle but please if you got a Nocturne or a Warwick please leave the Jungle to them and take a lane.

Fortify:You can take it if you want but it has a really high cooldown and in many games u just don't need it because your enemys won't push that much.

Flash: It's a good alternitive to Ghost plus it's a good "Over-a-Wall-Pillar-Contaminate" escape mechanism.

Rally: I don't like it anymore. The good old Rally got a heal and damage boost that would be nice but since the change it's not as good as it was so I think there are more usefull skills.

Teleport: you could take it instead of Ghost, Flash or even Exhaust if you don't want to take it.

Revive: PLEASE don't use it its **** i mean you are able to instantly get back to fight every 9-10 min that's just useless unless you play a super-squishie towerpush Master Yi but think again you are Trundle not Master Yi.

Unique Skills

Farming

You can easily farm entire creep waves with Rabid Bite + Contaminate.

Team Work

Try to work as Team and try to pick out enemys one after another.
You must watch your tank and make the best out of Pillar of Filth and Agony.

Good Lane Partners

Good Lane Partners for Trundle are:

Janna: Her Howling Gale stops many Champions from beeing useful, her Zephir is a nice slow and good in combination with Pillar of Filth and her Eye of the Storm is a nice damage boost which often helps to get the kill and it's nice to have while pushing towers. Her ultimate is a very good team heal and ***-saver if timed right.
Her Passive Tailwind is a nice speed boost. This + Contaminate + Ghost are the ultimate hunting combo.

Sona: Her Hymn of Valor is a nice early damage spell and boost. Her Heal Aria of Perseverance is really nice because it adds Armor and Magic Resist if active and her Speed Boost Song of Celerity is even better as Janna's Tailwind.
Her Ultimate Crescendo is a Powerful DoT (Damage over Time) Stun that lasts 1.5 seconds.

Taric: Taric got a quite good heal Imbue a very good Stun Dazzle because it stuns longer if the target is further away. His Shatter is a nice Armor buff and if activeded a nice amount of damage. His Ultimate Radiance is a very good Towerpush ultimate because it heals him, gives him Attack Damage and half of it to nearby Allies.

Sion: Sion is a nice Semi Tank with a good stun Cryptic Gaze and he has a very nice ultimate Cannibalism that adds him attack speed and lifesteal and heals allies per hit.

Nocturne: I normally play Semi Tank if we got a Nocturne. Most times Nocture goes Jungle but the few times i got him on my lane were just awesome. He does a lot of Damage and if his Unspeakable Horror and your Pillar of Filth are right timed youre able to get every kill.

Lux : She is a very good lane Partner because she got a nice amount of damage and slow with Lucent Singularity a good Cage with Light Binding a cool shield Prismatic Barrier and the Funniest Ultimate in game Finales Funkeln i call it the Burning death Lazor.

Every Tank with a Taunt is a good Lane partner too. That are Rammus with Puncturing Taunt , Shen with Shadow Dash , Galio with his Ultimate Idol of Durand.

Bad Lane Partners

Every Champion without any kind of a Hard CC.
