Introduction

Hey everyone. Its Mooiinator. I been playing League for a while now. I played World of Warcraft before i started playing LoL tho. In WoW i was a tank, and that has some how worked it way into this game as well. Well i played a lot of different tanks in this game and by far the best one i like is Alistar. So this is my guide I thought I would share with other people. Some time just make sense to have since the changes to some of the items. Well here it goes.

Runes

I am still in the process of getting the third tier of the Runes. but these are the ones i would use. They make the most since to me. I find that having armor for a tank is key in team fights. So having the most armor in the runes would be the Seals. I would like to have some Magic Resist would helpful as well. So the Glyphs have the second highest in the favor of numbers. Then this is where i get lost. I have been exploring different runes on the build and i am leaning towards the Vitality Marks. I am still working on the setup so i keep bounce around on them. Then for the Quints i like movement speed, so knock up and headbutt back works better.

Masteries

My Mastery build i keep changing but all in a nut shell this is the guild i keep going to. I like 0/21/9. In this guild you get a lot of options you have a lot of movement speed buffs, health regen, and extra buff times. As Alistar I find my self getting blue buff a lot. the only draw back to this champion.

Items

There are different ways you can get the items. I usually go Doran's Shield as my starting item. There is no other second item build. Philo. Stone is a must. Early game Alistar is hurting on mana. So having the Philo. will help out a lot. The next time i buy are the Boots of Speed. I usually dont buy health potions for the fact i am a walking health potion. I will then buy a Heart of Gold. I will sit on these four items for a while to build up my gold. Now this is where the Team Comp comes into play. If your playing with heavy Attack Damage and/or Attack Speed type champs, i would suggest you going with Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Then when you have enough get your Zeke's Herald. That will help your AD carries out a LOT, and make it less you have to use your heal. Now the next couple items can be built in any order. But i find it useful to go Aegis of the Legion, Locket of the Iron Solari, Shurelya's Reverie, then lastly build a Randuin's Omen. Once you guild the Locket you can either A) build another Heart of Gold. or B) Just wait till you have enough from Kills, and Assist to buy it out right. But i would build the Warden's Mail. It will help a lot when the Team Fights Break out. Again these items can be built in any more. I build them depending on the comp on the other team.

Skill Sequence

With the sequence of skills this way you have a reliable heal. You don't have to spend money on health potions if you don't want to. I like taking Pulv. Helping to get First Blood, or getting it yourself usually depends on if the enemy can get away knock ups usual don't let them get away to fast. Secondly I get headbutt. this is a GREAT combo for the Pulv. Headbutt back to your Ranged AD carries, or knock back into your turret to get some of those hits in. Then i pick up the heal at lvl 3. I like to max out my heal fast. once. i get the heal maxed i will max our headbutt, then pulv. Now If you going to try something other then tanky alistar i cant help you with your skills. I havent explored any other options with ali. But that's my skills.

Summoner Spells

There are several spells i like to use. I normally use Flash, and Ghost. Both of these help me get behind my enemy so i can headbutt them back to my carries. So i really dont have much to say on summoner spells. They are your own to choose. But i like the movement.

Summary

I have a very strange play style. I been a tank in wow and it carried over to this game. So if you can get the Pulv. headbutt combo down then you will be good. once you get that mastered then you shouldn't have any problems. I hope you guys like this guide. This is my first and might be my last depending on if there are anymore champs i like to play a lot. I will try and keep thanks updated according to the changes to items and abilities. Please Vote of this guide. and Try and leave feedback. i am open to every suggestions. Thanks and i hope you enjoy.
