Summoner Spells

Always take flash!!!

Your standard second Summ Spell for ADC.

If your support takes heal for whatever reason,(usually because windspeaker's procs off it), you can grab this! You can also get it against a bad matchup toplane, tele is usually better for the map pressure though.

If you're real confident you can snowball or against squishy healing supports like Soraka, Nami, or Sona this can be a good option. However it's still usually better for your support to take. You also take this in toplane matchups you know you can win.

If they have a buttload of cc this can be taken, QSS
usually does the job tho.

Take tele when you're toplane and want to roam a lot or are in a bad matchup and want to farm til' late.

Runes

Above are my usual runes on the rat but there are a few other options to play around with.
You can swap out the seals to flat armor and or glyphs to flat/scaling mr as you need.

I sometimes take these when I'm against a really heavy poke lane and need to just survive/farm. Bloodlust usually does the job at surviving though.

Other Mastery Options

I typically take this page along with the other "bad lane" rune page to garentee (hehe.) that I make it through lane phase. If you think you don't need the extra help from that rune page you can take the normal one and it's usually good enough help.

Thunderlords is... ok on Twitch. It's absolutely amazing early game, combined with E it does insane amounts of damage, but falls off hard come late game where the rat's supposed to shine. You miss out on a lot of the free damage fervor gives to your ult and the utility of bloodlust. If you plan on being extremely aggressive it can work though.

Ability Overview

Passive: Deadly Venom: Twitch's basic attacks each apply a stack of Poison, dealing 2/3/4/5/6 true damage every second over 6 seconds and stacking up to 6 times for a maximum of 72/108/144/180/216 true damage over the duration.

One of the reasons you build Runaan's. Every auto-attack and extra bolt from Runaan's applies stacks of your passive, letting you get more stacks for E on multiple people. Don't underestimate the damage this does over time, if you can continually keep stacks on a person you can easily whittle them down if they're not careful. Of course it's not too strong early game, but many people will underestimate it and flash only to die to the poison tick.

............................................................................................

Q: Ambush: Twitch enters camouflage for a duration after 1 second, gaining 10% bonus movement speed while stealthed and gaining bonus attack speed for 5 seconds upon leaving it.
STEALTH DURATION: 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14
BONUS ATTACK SPEED: 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50%
Ambush's cooldown is reset if an enemy dies while affected by Deadly Venom and entering stealth cancels Twitch's current basic attack.
Ambush's bonus movement speed is increased to 30% while nearby enemy champions who cannot see Twitch.

The attack speed boost got nerfed a bit a few patches back, from 30/40/50/60/70% to the now 30/35/40/45/50%. The movespeed was also lowered to 10% from 20% unless chasing someone. Not too awful a nerf, and still worth maxing 2nd. If you're getting ganked/need to escape you NEED to hit this early. If they catch up to you they can see you now that his Q is Camouflage instead of Stealth. There's no longer a delay on your stealth from taking damage but if they catch up to you with cc 10% ms WILL NOT save you.
............................................................................................

W: Venom Cask: Twitch hurls a cask of venom at the target area, infecting all enemies hit with 1 stack of Deadly Venom.
SLOW: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45%
The target area becomes contaminated for 3 seconds, slowing all enemies inside and applying 1 stack of Deadly Venom each second.

As of 6.22 Twitch's W has been changed to leave an area that will put ticks of Deadly Venom on anyone who stays in it. This change helps Twitch's bad early game quite a bit, as it helps you to zone and wave-clear better. A decent payoff for the Q change in my opinion. If you have a support with lots of cc you're basically guaranteed to get at least 4-5 stacks on someone.

............................................................................................

E: Contaminate: Twitch damages all nearby enemies afflicted by Deadly Venom, dealing them physical damage increased by each of their stacks.
BASE PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 20/35/50/65/80
BONUS DAMAGE PER STACK: 15/20/25/30/35 (+ 20% AP) (+ 25% bonus AD)

Your main damage skill throughout early/mid game. (Lategame you rely more on your autoattacks/ult than anything, using E to secure kills.) Before using this you want to get as many stacks as possible on the person/people you're fighting, the burst can be surprising. I recommend having at LEAST 4 stacks up before using it, as anything under that does little damage and is really just a waste of mana at that point.
A bug with E was also THANKFULLY fixed to the joy of Twitch mains everywhere. If someone flashed just as you activated E no damage would be done to the person, along with the ability going on cooldown/taking mana. :(
No worries now though!

............................................................................................

R: Spray and Pray: Twitch gains bonus attack damage and bonus attack range for 5 seconds.
BONUS AD: 20 / 30 / 40 AD
Additionally, Twitch's basic attacks travel across their full range and skewer every enemy they pass through for the duration, dealing 20% less damage per enemy hit down to a minimum of 40% damage. These attacks apply on-hit effects to all affected enemies and can Critical strike icon critically strike against each individual target.

Your main assassination and killing tool. This makes you a teamfighting monster with Runaan's. You can easily take out most every squishy with a clean Q > W > R > E combo. With a support like Leona they can kiss their lane goodbye if you both manage to get off good ults. It doesn't have a too long a cooldown either, so don't be afraid to use it to secure kills or win a duel. It also allows you to outrange turrets! You can easily hit both Nexus turrets by standing to the side of one of them and autoing the furthest one.
