I haven't messed with the rune system yet. Maybe when I learn more about the game. I'd hate to waste my points on the wrong items.



As for my choices of spells. Exhaust, in my opinion, is the best of the bunch. Use it when your opponent gets a little too close to your turret. Don't forget to Taunt as well! Extra Damage, Slowed Opponent, Combat Trigger, Group Support.. It never ceases to amaze me! As far as Smite goes.. Meh, this slot is open for debate. Many like Ghost, many like Teleport, but I like free gold and offensive lane assault (Also helps vs Dragon). If you haven't noticed by now, Rammus is a Turret Bulldozer! If you have less than 3 buildings smashed, even in a bad game, then you really didn't try too hard.




A habit that I've picked up while playing DotA. Always begin a match with HP Regen. It's better than any potion and allows you to stay in your lane long enough to stay on par with XP as well as collect gold. For just a few gold more you can get a Faerie Charm as well that will allow you extra harassing potential.



The Philosopher's Stone is great for it's value. When you hit the shop next go ahead and sell your Rejuvenation Bead for a Regrowth Pendant and get this item started.



Sunfire Cape seems to be a good item for Rammus. It offers HP and Armor with a nifty little AOE Damage effect that goes well with the character.



Thornmail is a no-brainer on Rammus. Think about it.. You have an ability that reflects damage back at your attacker. This item compliments that very well! Especially considering that you have an ability that forces your opponent to attack you!!



Any tank should have a decent pair of Mercury Treads. As you shall likely find yourself snared more than most while your opponents charge after the squishies in your party. The added Magic Resist is a nice compliment as well.



Warden's Mail comes next in the line up for Rammus. It provides Armor, additional HP Regen, and Slows your attacker's Attack and Movement Speed when you're hit. This is especially useful because you can force your opponent to hit you :)
