Ghost - Amazing ability to keep your distance and get into range to snare combo.
Flash - Amazing ability to keep your distance and get into range to snare combo. Most important ability for many reasons.
Exhaust - If you are in range to exhaust either you are dead or very ballsy and definately in range to snare combo. but this can save your life if you are facing Tryndamere. when facing Tryndamere or Irelia run Flash Exhaust.
Ignite - Worthless to you as lux because you are to busy raping face. Can be useful if facing some sort of stupid healer like Warwick maybe but you blow up the support healers who invested in gold per 5 items anyways with a proper snare combo.
Clairvoyance - If you are running support grab this and either Teleport or Flash, it is a must have. Refer to lux number 2 for more information on support Lux.
Clarity - If you know you aren't gonna get blue's often i guess this is okay.
Teleport - Nothing is more fun than teleporting to a ward and Ksing baron dragon or just raping a noob Ashe lol..
The items are logical and here is why: Lux doesn't have to get even close to a fight to be efficient. Thus Mejai's Soulstealer is actually a good item for her as she is a support who does damage and only supports well with Ability Power.
Doran's Ring gives you a good boost to start the game both mana regeneration and a chart topping 32 AP at level 1, and the health is nice.
LUX'S ABILITIES: AND CODENAMES: Light Binding - KNOWN AS THE SNARE (MAIN ABILITY) Prismatic Barrier - THE BEST SHIELD EVER Lucent Singularity - PRIMARY FARM AND BURST (YOUR SLOW) FINALES FUNKELN - KNOWN AS A FEW THINGS, "THE LASER" "THE PEW PEW POW POW" "THE GODLIKE MACHINE" "THE THING YOU KS WITH" "THAT OP ABILITY WITH THE 20 SECOND COOLDOWN" and my favorite "THE BIG BAMBINO"
Farming
At the early levels you must last shot just like every other champ, at level 3 use Lucent Singularity on the mage minions in an attempt to hit your opponent champion as well while using your passive to last shot all 3 and getting a guarenteed 3 minions per wave. The jungler will help you get blue buff as often as possible and once you have blue you must go and gank so make sure you do a good job of last hitting early.
Once you have deathcap you will be able to blow up both the caster and warrior minions with Lucent Singularity. Simple enough. Right?
Team Work
Your job is very complicated and listed as followed:
AP Carry,
Support.
Not so complicated. Lux is similar to oriana in a lot of ways. Both have balls that slow both have shields and both have massive aoe damage, the thing to know is, lux has a snare and a laser and her shield shields allies a whopping 2 times.
Your job is actually to stand in the back and skill shot landing your shield is crutial to being a good lux player. people can handle you missing a few snares and slows, even a few lasers if you are constantly saving them from death with your awesome 2 way shield.
LAST PART, YOUR LASER IS TO BE USED TO START AND FINISH A FIGHT. IT IS NOT JUST A KS'ing DEVICE JUST BECAUSE YOU RAN MEJAIS. LUX CAN DO ALOT BUT SHE CANNOT JUST OUTRIGHT 5 v 1. YOUR TANKS NEED FOOD TOO.
Ranked Play
Do not be afraid to pick lux in ranked. If your team thinks she is bad then they clearly have never seen a good lux.
She is one of the best mid solo's in the game, and a decent enough support to work with most ad champs.
For instance:
Have you ever faced lux garen bottom lane?

Summary
Just to show you i know what i'm talking about. AKA Results.
