I heard rumors that they might rework his passive, in which case the hourglass would fit right in, but as it stands now, it's armor overkill, and you'd be using it mostly for the active, wasting a lot of gold on unnecessary armor along the way. Quicksilver Sash and Flash might save you more often, for example. Honestly, I hope they just rework his passive, but I really think you should consider some alternatives, like Banshee's Veil, for example. I don't play Xerath, really, so I can't really give the most character-specific advice in the world. (Reposted because I don't know you saw it on the archived one) Nothing can hold me back!
