Hi, i just started playing anivia. Would u suggest to learn this build or start with some other. Cause this looks like hard to learn hard to play but can be rly usefull. It would be difficult to learn her but i'm up to that challenge.
(sry for bad english. it's not my native)

t3hwolf,

i looked at my guide a bit and find it perhaps inappropriate just to include the advanced stuff. i want to help the beginners as well. therefore, i will include a beginner section to this guide very soon.

i listed these controlling techniques because i have lots of experience with anivia, and i wont usually miss skillshots, timing, or juking. these are all hard to do for beginners because 1. anivia's skillshot is slow and big 2. anivia's timing is difficult (especially wall, if u time wrong by half a second, everyone will hate u) 3.anivia is slow, juke is difficult.

therefore, i recommend get used to anivia first, then seriously take a look at the advanced section of this guide and see what u have and what u dont have.

Hi there,

I kinda like yuur build ;D just wondering why you put a point into Greed (that like only 360 Gold in a 60 Minute game)? Wouldn't Meditation or Good Hands be more useful?

excellent question.

i used to put 3 points in meditation. then i saw other guides (not anivia) that put 1 point in greed and asked myself, who the hell would want 360 gold in 60 min game?

but think about greed as 6 gold per minute rather than 360 gold in 60 min. so i compared the importance of getting greed vs. an extra 0.33 mana regen per sec. and i realized that although the latter does give u a better regen, its no where near important as greed in terms of early game.

like i have said before, every minute in anivia's early game is crucial. ganks, kills, anivia needs them for later dominance. too many times have bought an item a couple of seconds too late because of lack of a few gold, and missed out on free kills. greed prevents alot of these cases. on the other hand, i have no need for other masteries that give me a bit of bonus.

I like ghosts mobility bonus too, still have to get used to remember using it though xD
just thought about putting that greed point into Ghost mastery or something

A very good guide but i dont like one of youre item choices,
The Rod of Ages, i personally hate it and never use it
Even if you wont the Archangel Staff i really like it on Anivia
In the beginning i used the RoA too, but after time i changed it with the Archangel staff, it could be that im a bit aggresive and use every opportunity i got to attack the enemy and that mana/manaregen bonus helps me to keep on the lane longer. But even with when im harrasing them much with my spellcombos, i know when i can do that and when i would risk my life with that

It could be that i play Anivia different than you and dont need the extra life from the RoA, and when im really in trouble and get stunlocked/taunted all the time, than even the extra health from the RoA is useless because i will die.
And with the newest patch, i wont suggest the Guardian Angel, ok u can revive after u got killed by that Ignite but for situations like that, i got my Egg ready

But so far you got a really good guide in how to play Anivia which can teach others how to play her well

the newest patch really made a downturn for GA. i would have to consider its uses. and you are right, if you are going to die as anivia, 3 lives in late game doesnt make a huge difference; most of the time, you will lose all 3 at once from ********. but, a survivability item for late game is important. i have replaced such with caster's best friend, frozen heart.

current patch i definitely dont recommend getting AA, after tears no longer give same passive as AA.

the reason for RoA has mainly to do with catalyst. catalyst is a must, in my opinion, for anivia; it solves her early health and mana problems during laning phase. catalyst then needs to be build into something -> banshee or RoA. i would not recommend early banshee because it would compromise anivia's AP, making it reliant on the heavily situational mejai. on the other hand, RoA gives health, mana, and AP. its still viable in mid to late games as its bonus stat completes.

i would recommend looking at the variation item paths i posted. the item build i have at top of guide is too general.

Hey there. Just played a round with you and thought I'd come share some. This is basically what I was telling that Kassadin: Tears of the Goddess makes for ult spamming. If you can manage to sneak in as a flank or go without being targeted in a team fight, you can leave your ult on for awhile and just spam spells. It's mana intensive and requires the tears to be built, especially when you continue to push and need to fight waves of creeps down ASAP for a tower kill.

Also, any complete guide needs a rune build! Magic pen and cooldown reduc is my base for her. The rest is whatever I have on the book for the day.

I like frozen heart on her. I often use it as my 5-6th item.
