Amazing Build, well done on the Metagaming build. The role of Off-Tanks always was something i didnt really believe into but now its pretty amazing. Just bought Blitz and im trying to get better with him. But i think this does not work with random guys. Ill just made it to a good KD rate with a premade team. I think for random the defense Tree would be better.

I think Blitz is just quite simply the best 3v3 champion in the game and it almost doesn't matter how you build him at all =D

But, this build turns him into the hulk. Except he's a robot. The robot hulk. And he wants to eat your babies.

Defensive tree, great option for lane dominance. After that, loses effectiveness.

Have you ever tried Manamune on Blitz? It really helps him offensively and defensively.

Hi there!
I must start with that: I'm huge fun of work you did in off(trinity) tanks guide. Also I must say that english is not my first language so I'm sorry for mistakes I'm going to make in ths post.
I was hoping that you might help me out. (I would make that privet msg but maybe someone else will join this discusion which would make me very happy).
After number of games as strict tank (mostly rammus, amumu but also many others) i was looking for something new. I ofc not going to play as ap carry but I got tired by heavy armored champs whoes only job is to take as much dmg as they can (if enemy team will bo so kind to attack me).
Then I saw your off tank guide and said to myself- "that's what i was looking for"(kinda deferent in my language but point was the same).

To help me better I would like you to know few things about me. I am mostly playing only with my friend(lux). We aint high elo either. So it's sometimes hard to find 2end tank into team (as i find off-tank has more to do with tank than ad carry). I play only 5vs5. So I'm looking for some champion which can from time to time be that most tanky champ in team and which can be played in your's trinity tank way. I was thinking off blitz (that's why this post made here) and after reading your's post jarvan.
Is it possible to play blitz with 9/0/21 and if there is need just drop the "off" part to do the tank job.
Which of this 2 is better for 5vs5 in your's opinion ( i played a lil bit both and I prefer blitz cc over jarvans bigger attack abilty)? Which one you would suggest for a guy whos played most of his time in this game as tank?

Thx
hofik

Aye, I have.

It's a great item on Blitz. But I've found that it's just a "mid game" item.

Me and a 2k+ ELO player from EU have gotten into this discussion as well.

If you want Manamune, I suggest you remove Atma's Impaler for it...

It's sort of the difference between a 3v3 build and a 5v5 build.

You'll want to follow this core for 3v3, perhaps build Manamune for 5v5.

If you find yourself being hard focused in fights, Manamune is a great option.

If you find yourself carrying, take the Atma's instead for more damage ^^

Jarvan is a better Off Tank for 5's, and he's a lot better.

But, Blitz is good for his own reasons.

Nunu channeling his ult right next to you? Pop him up.

Did silly Malz started channeling his ult far away but you've got a clear shot? Yank him, it breaks the ult.

Got a big cluster **** of enemies around and you need to stop them from flashing or casting spells for a moment? Ult! It breaks channels also with the silence!

So to be able to effectively use his utility in 5's, you have to be tanky enough to dive into the enemy team and use your skills.

Because of this, Is suggest building Trinity Force, and really full tanking in 5v5 after that.

Your damage will be decent, and then you'll be able to use your excellent CC's to their full potential.

But Blitz will never be the amazing, crushing, force that shatters team comps like Jarvan is as an Offtank. He just doesn't have the skills for it.

He's great, however, at dealing lots of damage over a period of time, and -preventing- enemies from dealing damage to your team with clever use of his skill. The longer the fight goes, the more damage Blitz will have done by the end of it if you just don't cast you ult and land good pop ups =)

For these reasons, my opinion is that Blitz is actually the best 3v3 champ in the game. He scales so well with gear it's gross, and yet, he doesn't actually ever need any gear at all to function.

You can build him however you need and he caters to the role exceptionally well. Atma's/I.E. are both great items on blitz.

So are FoN and Frozen Heart. Same is true for almost literally any item in this game.

Blitz is just a champion capable of doing whatever you want him to. You can find my REAL OP BLOTZ build, and I guarantee, if you drink your milk, you can make that build work to... ;)

Well I gave him a try. A lil bit different build than your's but almost the same. I changed time spend dead into mana/hp reg in mastery and went flat arm seals and per lvl magic resist. Worked fine for me. I could initiate fights and stay in the middle till the end most of the time and grab few kills.
Thx again

You're welcome, but that's an awful mastery xP
