I am Blastona. I began playing league only a few months ago, back in February. Throughout my play I have learned alot. (oh god I was awful back then) However, in my placement matches I was placed in Silver V.

I am now currently Silver II.

Since then, I have become comfortable in every role of the game and have picked up Renekton as my main top laner. He is currently my #1 played champion in ranked.

Pros

+ High Early Game Kill Pressure
+ Good Sustain
+ Can catch people off-guard with Cull the Meek heal
+ Pretty good mobility with Slice and Dice
+ High double kill potential on gank dives with your ultimate
+ Great splitpusher
+ No mana
+ Recent buff has increased his stun range



Cons

- Gets outscaled hard
- Gets smashed by CC
- Kited easily
- Has identity issues

If you want to do a camp to get doran's blade and 5 pots you can do that with TP, otherwise take your longsword and 3 pots and head to lane.


Early game with Renekton is all about out-trading your opponent.

Your Q and W have longer ranges than your auto attack, so vs melee champions you can use them as a sort of harass.

Generally you just want to be trading with your opponent everytime he tries to CS, unless his minion wave is substantially bigger than yours you will win the trade and have lane dominance.

Watch for bot lane TP plays and mid lane roams and that's about all you need to be a successful Renekton.

Depending on the matchup you may not be as scaled as your enemy laner, so this is where the game gets tricky.

When you teamfight you need to try to dive the backline and apply your black cleaver stacks on the ADC and APC, if they're focused on killing you the more damage your own carries will be doing in the fight. So activate your ult and get in there.

There are animation cancels with Tiamat / Titanic Hydra / Ravenous Hydra actives on Renekton. Here's a list of them. Your W is also an AA cancel.

With Tiamat and Ravenous Hydra
Active > Q
W > Active
Active > Ult (not particularly useful)

You can try stringing these together like:
Q > AA > W > Active

With Titanic Hydra
Titanic Hydra is a little bit different, it only cancels Auto Attacks. If you use the active without auto attacking it simply applies to your next auto attack (including your W)
AA > Active

the best way to use the Titanic Hydra is:
AA > Active > W
