Hello, my name is Daber, and this is my first build! When I started playing Renekton, I always had the hardest time staying alive in the early game. With this build I not only increased my survivability, but also made more kills per game. I started going 10 and 4 and 8 and 3. I'm still fairly new to Renekton, but this build has worked perfect for me. There's always room for improvement, so if you have any suggestions at all please let me know! Thank you!

Seeing that Renekton is a new character, I figured i'd post his story as well so you can get to know what kind of champion he is:

On a faraway world, Renekton was born a member of a race of bestial guardians created to serve as the rulers and protectors of their people. Alongside his brother Nasus, Renekton oversaw the upkeep of the Great Library, which served as both a vault of ancient knowledge and the repository of the teachings of the Cycle of Life and Death. While the enlightened Nasus taught those scholars who came to study, Renekton served as the Great Library's gatekeeper. He could sense the true natures of those who sought Nasus' teachings, and he sent away those with dark ambitions. Over time, however, his repeated exposure to this evil infected his mind. He grew furious with the malevolence in the hearts of men, and as he descended deeper into madness, he discovered he could quell the fury by cutting the evil from the men who possessed it. Unfortunately, the relief was as short-lived as the subjects, and the ''butcher's rage'', as it came to be known, would resurge even stronger.

Consumed by his anger, Renekton turned on the one being who could defeat him -- his own brother. Nasus pleaded with Renekton to see reason. Realizing that he was beyond redemption, the despondent Nasus valiantly struck down his wayward sibling. Defenseless, Renekton waited eagerly for death's release. It never came. He was spared when summoners from the League of Legends claimed his brother. Caught in the wake of this powerful spell, Renekton tumbled for what seemed like ages between realities. When he finally emerged, he fell deep into the sewers of Zaun. Insane with fury, Renekton languished in his newfound home, driven senseless by his rage. That is until, by happenstance, he caught a familiar scent on the air. Believing that the familiar scent who guide him to the solace which was fading from his memory, he his brother all the way to the Institute of War.

What I had in mind for this build, is to be able to survive early game, while still maintaining an aggressive playstyle. I've tested this build numerous times, and I've found that when laning top or bot I could easily harass and even kill the opposing champions in my lane with ease throughout the entire game.

Basically what I try to do is make as much money as i can as fast as i can while still maintaining very good lane position by harassing the enemy. Cull the meek is perfect for this because you can attack enemies and heal yourself before you run out of the mob.

I decided to level up cull the meek first because, with all of the health I was receiving from using it, it reduced the number of times I had to teleport back to base. In this way, I leveled up a little bit faster than my opponents giving me an advantage when I reached level 6 and could use dominus.

After maxing out cull the meek, I went on to max out ruthless predator. While working on maxing out ruthless predator, i could slice and dice in and stun and then heal a ton of health back and then slice and dice back out. Eventually, I was able to go into two opponents and kill both without losing much health.

I choose to start off with dorans shield and a health potion because the added health per 5 helps alot in the early game. The Ionian Boots of Lucidity come next to, obviously, increase my movement and to decrease my cooldowns. I then buy the brutalizer to further decrease cooldowns and increase my damage. This sets me up later on for when I buy Yuumuu's Ghostblade.

Next, I buy the Spirit Visage. This increases my survivability tremendously by giving me more health and increasing the healing done by my cull the meek. Its perfect for surviving the mid game if you can get it by level 9. I then buy Last Whisper to make myself more of a threat in team fights during mid game, the added armor pen helps out a ton also when using Ruthless Predator.

Depending on how the game is going at this point, you may want to buy Yuumuu's if you are winning and need an extra boost to gank the other team. If its even or if you are losing, you should buy Force of Nature to help you survive longer away from the base. After you buy one of these, next you buy the other you didn't buy first.

My last item is The Black Cleaver. I chose this because not only does it increase your attack speed and attack damage more, but it's passive combos with Ruthless Predator. If you use RP with the fury bonus, it will stack all 3 of Black Axe's armor reduction in one move, leaving your target open for your next attacks to kill him. Also, if you're team is losing, and you keep getting killed for some reason this late in the game, you could alternatively buy the Guardian Angel to make sure you live through the next team fight.

Pros:

Renekton can cut through armor like it's nothing.
When used right, rage can win a team battle for you.
Ruthless Predator can stack per hit buffs instantly, making The Black Cleaver a very useful item.

Cons:
Hard to lane against long ranged attackers like Kog Maw and Ashe.
