BEFORE STARTING: I'm not an english speaker but I'd studied a lot, but my english won't be perfect ^_^

Hi all! This is my guide for Renekton to Dominate the Top Lane. In this guide we will learn some tips of how to use renekton as an aggresive tank that can snowball on top and dominate the team fights with your tankiness and at the same time a lot of damage.

Pros:
- Good Sustain with Cull the Meek
- Good Mobility with Slice and Dice
- Good against a lot of Top Laners, specially against melee champions.
- Not easy to poke because the Sustain and the Mobility

Cons:
- Fall Off late game if played or built bad.
- Needs a lot of Farm/Kills because the build is expensive.
- If enemy gots Knock Backs or Silences you will have a hard time.

We will talk about the masteries of this champion. Those masteries are standar, but I will comment why are useful:

There we will see the runes that I use for Renekton and why I use those.

I will comment why I use those runes:

Greater Mark of Attack Damage and Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: We use Flat AD on Runes because renekton has to get kills early game, and you don't need a lot of armor penentration at early game, because renekton's burst at early game is strong, with your Ruthless Predator at LvL 1 can make 200 damage at lvl 1! Betwenn the first 5 levels. And for Early armor penetration you got a Mastery Point, so this is ok, you don't need more for now.

Greater Seal of Armor: Standar on a lot of top laners, specially with tanks.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: Good if you need early Magic Resist when facing against AP tops like Vladimir, Cho'Gath, etc.

The Skill sequence can have 2 different options:

This Skill Sequence (Just give importance to the 3 first levels), are good when you're facing a champ that is easy to Zone. Remeber that Ruthless Predator at the first 5 levels can make 200 damage at lvl 1 with your runes/masteries! And 200 damage on this lvls are like 1/3 or 1/4 of the HP that can have a top laner at this levels. Champions that are easy to zone with renekton: Rengar, Riven, Irelia, Wukong, Darius, Singed.

This Skill Sequence (Just give importance to the 3 first levels), are for if you are facing a champ that can harass you before lvl 3, like: Gangplank Teemo, Vladimir, Tryndamere (for the critticks at lvl 1 with his passive).

So, always when you're facing a champ on top, think before upgrading an Ability without thinking before! That helps a lot! Belive me! =)

For this guide we will have 3 items (and boots) that are obligatory for this champion and this type of playing. Remeber to choose between Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads depending on the enemy team, if they got a lot of CC pick Mercury's Treads, if not, just pick Ninja Tabi.

This are the essential items:

Why thoose items? Well, we will pick as first item, being vs an AP or AD, we won't care about this, we will pick Sunfire Aegis as first item because the Area Magic Damage Per Second is just great, specially when you are in your Ultimate Dominus, the damage you will do per second is amazing, and that's why you don't need a lot of Armor Pen., because with this item you get Magic Damage, and people won't buy magic resist against Renekton. Then we will pick The Brutalizer but we will let it there, because we only need the small Armor Pen. and the CDR. At last, we will buy an Atma's Impaler, with this items and if we got Ninja Tabi we will get 210 armor more or less, and the AD that gives you the passive of Atma's Impaler with the HP points that gives you your Ultimate, is just amazing. Later we will buy the entire Black Cleaver, but if you don't want, you can upgrade it as last item.

Other items that are useful as 5th and 6th Item:

Well, my favourite last items with this build, are Spirit Visage and Frozen Mallet, because with Spirit Visage I got more CDR and Extra Heal with Cull the Meek, and then with Frozen Mallet I got more HP, extra AD that combines well with Atma's Impaler, and that makes you a God! But sometimes you will need the other items, because they are Full AD team, or they will have 2 or 3 AP in the team, so you will have to decide between those items. But anyways, if you can get the 1st Example of Full Build then Perfect! you will be a fear for the enemy team!

We only will need Flash and Ignite, just for safe escapes and securing kills or helping to kill champs with a lot of heal, like Vladimir, Tryndamere, etc.

With Renekton at lvl 3, we have to start destroying the enemy if we can reach him. We have to use E Slice between enemy minions and then use our Fury with our W Ruthless Predator and then Q Cull the Meek, and again E Dice to dash away and get to a save position. But care! If your E is on CD care, because you are Vulnerable to the jungler, and Renekton is an aggresive champ on early game, so care and try to have your River or your Tribush warded to stay safe for jungler's ganks.

If you want to dive an enemy or they want to dive you, when they are doing it, use your Ultimate Dominus to be safer and getting extra HP in a second and if you get luck, you can survive. But you can use your ultimate too, for increase the damage in 1 vs 1 or for getting a kill that you maybe don't kill with your combo. Just for getting kills.

I will explain a little bit the champions that can give you a hard time to you.

Vayne: For me this is the worst match, just impossible to reach, when you Dash her, she can knock back you, and also she got a lot of mobility and damage, and for me is the worst counter.

Garen: Another difficult champion, if you Dash to him and try to use the combo on him, he can silence you and then spin to death. Hard match but if you're smart you can win.

Irelia: Easy to zone at start, but when she get a lot of sustain, with this W and extra lifesteal it will be impossible for you to kill her.

Vladimir: A lot of poke and harass, if you jump on him, he can get his life back with his sustain.

Cho'Gath: He silences you before finishing your combo, and he got a lot of HP, so its impossible to kill for you.

Gangplank: He pokes you a lot with Q, and then can remove your stun and getting healed again, so this is another hard match for renekton.

Poppy: Difficult to kill because his passive, and she got a lot of damage with this Q because it does %Dmg.

Always care if you are vs one of this champions, they are really strong. You're strong too, but if you don't know how to play, they can get fed with your help.

Well, in the team fights you have to be the initiator a lot of times. Use E Slice to an enemy and then R Dominus and try to zone the ADC, and let the assasin of your team kill him. You have to stay always near as much enemies as possible to increase the Area damage of your Dominus and Sunfire Aegis. Just be aggresive, and stay with your assasin to kill all the enemies.
Don't worry for your ADC, you support and maybe your jungler can cover him, and if not, try to help you too, but your work with this guide is playing aggresive and make all the damage as possible and holding it at the same time. But care, if they got champions with hard cc, specially with silences like Nautilus, Leona, Cho'Gath, try to force him to CC you, so your team will be free of CC, or they will recive less CC, but care! If you're low life don't run, fight to death, because if they kill you first, the enemy team won't have so much damage, cuz they use it a lot of it only for you.
