Has anyone tried ionic spark on him yet. i haven't used it often but it might be a decent luxury item.

Well did some calculations about that item and I prefer Wit's End. You cant really "control" the damage of Ionic Spark and sometimes you wont even get that (fake) AoE damage as there is e.g. only one enemy.

Nice guide, I always use it for solo top, but i prefer starting with heart of gold, so I dont buy the chalice of harmony, then I use Life Steal Quintessence. BUT THIS GUIDE IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Glad to see a Lanewick guide rather than another outdated jungle Warwick guide. Warwick is just too slow for the new jungler, and he never had good ganks to begin with, which makes him a very inefficient jungler these days. Therefore the only place Warwick is still viable in is the top lane as a solo.

I do have some criticism, both to your setup(runes and masteries) and your build. As far as runes and masteries go, there's no need to focus on the offensive tree at all. As you rightfully said, Warwick's damage output comes from Q spamming and later Bloodrazor. Both of which are limited by your enemy's health pool, and neither of which benefit from neither AP nor AD. So the offensive tree offers you nothing. Both the defensive tree and the utility tree offer you much more, personally I prefer a 0/21/9 build but a 0/9/21 build also works very well for him. As far as runes go, CDR can work, but since you get some from items I think MR/level is better. HP quints are never really bad, but with the new defensive tree and the nerf to them, I like other quints better, in WW's case MPen quints+reds+Sorc Boots means you deal true damage all game long unless enemy invests heavily in MR. MS Quints also work, but I find the MS from both the defensive and utility trees+E is enough.

As far as items go, you keep on mentioning how WW doesn't need AD nor AP, yet you recommend items like Gunblade, Rylai's, etc. The only offensive stat WW needs is AS, so he can get in more auto attacks for more procced damage(Bloodrazor, Wit's End, etc). Other than that defense/utility all the way. Chalice is ok I guess, but Philosopher's Stone is much better, the gold/10 is nice and both Shurelya's and Elesya's are great follow up items later on. Heart of Gold is also a great item, and Randuin's is terrific against standard balanced teams(AD carry, bruiser top, maybe bruiser jungler too). Spirit's Visage is still a fine item, and I still prefer it over Revolver on WW, for the simple reason that it gives you CDR, HP and MR rather than just a better heal return on your Q(which is already plentiful, despite the nerf). Doran's Ring is a solid starting item, but it becomes useless pretty fast, so I prefer the standard boots+3 pots, as it's more money efficient.

What makes Warwick great, and still useful, is his sheer amount of survivability, combined with solid damage that keeps you relevant in the end game and requires no investment(AD and AP) whatsoever. Therefore stacking as much defense and utility as possible is generally the best way to go on Warwick in general and Lanewick specifically. Also, with so much invested in defense you can freely initiate with your ultimate, though it's far from ideal. If the enemy focuses all their damage and CC on you than your team should easily clean them up, and it'll take them a while to take you down, even if all 5 focus on you. Also, unless you're chain CCed, you should be able to heal back up with Q+auto attacks, which will make it even harder to bring you down. If they don't focus on you than you just tear them up with procs+Q spam and stay standing for cleanup.
