I know people reading this will most likely be bronze or lower and utterly garbage at Riven. Why else would they scroll this far down and go back so many pages to look for a Riven guide? Just don't play Riven. You clearly aren't mechanically skilled and should stick to noob carry champs like Jinx and Fizz. But still while you're hear, favorite this guide and give it a positive review. At least I'm telling the truth. :))

The hardest part about playing Riven is animation canceling. Many nubs when playing Riven, like to just continue spamming Q and then pressing W when an enemy champ is near. You see these nubs E'ing around thinking they're pro and trying to wall hop and make plays. Many times, they don't even activate their ult until after the fight and they stand still for the whole ult animation to finish. The correct way to play Riven is to auto attack after every Q and preferably after every skill too. Also their are many ways to cancel her skill animations too. Of course lots of these take practice and time to learn and master and many bronzies would rather just play a point and click champ like Jinx or Kat, and if you're looking for a Riven guide online because you fed maybe a Janna or Elise top or something troll like that, you must be that bronzie. So what i would recommend, instead of reading through this guide, you could go order some elo-boosting at eloclutch.com or aceelo.com. Noob

There are many cool tricks and animation cancels a good Riven can do. But it's kind of hard to explain for the bronzies reading this. Just go fanboy BoxBox and watch his guides.

If you're strong, flash in and kill the carries with your full combo. JUST KILL THE CARRIES! If you're behind and feeding, uninstall, you're probably a 250 pound bronzie who mains an easy-to-play hyper carry.

Flash and Teleport. End of story. Only noob Rivens need ignite to secure kills and what kind of idiot runs something in place of flash?

Riven has only a couple of core items. Last whisper, for the armor pen, and hydra, for the wave clear, life steal and extra attack. The rest of her items should be built based on how the game is going and the enemy team comp. ZHONYAS HOURGLASS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
