I choose the boots of Mobility just as standard boots, they are good for chasing, and let Riven get around to knock enemies into allies. If I'm playing a team with a lot of CC's or the like, I would get the Mercury treads. I definitely think that leveling the other two skills is more or less pointless over Broken Wings however, as I don't see the advantage of them over the damage and farming that Broken Wings provides.

The reason I think scaling broken wings first is not a good idea is because its really more of a gap closer. Usually your auto attack is more than enough for farming and by scaling this first your stun and shield will have a higher cooldown. Again could be personal preference but thats just my two cents.

Interesting guide, maybe you could add some formatting to make it visually appealing.
Never knew why people had problems with Broken Wings- I use smart casting and never it lead me somewhere I did not want to go.

Decent build however i do feel there are a few problems. First of all is your choice of boots. Riven's main advantage is her mobility and she is very vulnerable to cc, so mercury treads seems like a better choice. I would recommend you either take out swiftness and change it or put it in a optional item choice. Second is your scaling of broken wings first. I guess it could be something of personal opinion however i do think that your other skills are more important in the early game. Anyway a decent build overall.

I like your build with a lot of AD. It really is what Riven is about. I will be concerned with the survivability though. She is so squishy. I think you can try having KI up in early game which helps farm and keep enemy champ stuned for slicing. Since broken wing is hard to navigate, nailing enemy to ground for a sec will help her do the damage.

Overall good build. I will try everything once. ^_^
