@Riven- Faceroll to win

I'd suggest inserting some alternatives to your current item, rune and ability choices depending on enemy or even friendly comps - because the same items do not always work as well.
Thanks,
blue. =)

i downvoted it basically because some of his arguments are invalid and i don't like this guide overall- like, i don't quite agree with whole 'fratmog' idea, 21>0<9 masteries and so on. it'd just take too much time to point everything out. that "heal is useless omgomg" part is just like a bad joke to me.

You never mention that this guide was oriented towards getting fed, and that's not what I was claiming. You seem to have misunderstood me. With this build, you are completely ineffective as a champion mid game unless you're fed. And this build doesn't go for lane dominance in order to achieve such a goal. So no matter what you will be behind unless your enemy is stupid and allows you to farm/kill them.

Now I don't mean to be all, "I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE WRONG." but I've spent months playing with this exact build, and I've never had the problem of being completely inneffective mid game. This build works great for me, and maybe that's because of my playstyle. I'm not sure. As I clearly stated in the introduction, this is the way that I play Riven. I stated that if you find problems, deviate from the guide so it suits YOUR playstyle. I will consider changing the sequence of items, but not the items themselves.

I think the reason why Atmogs is bad on Riven is because of Atma's Impaler. It provides crit, which Riven doesn't use. Garen uses it because spin2win can crit.

One thing I read about Riven is that you can/should build flat out damage because her defenses get better with damage - ie. Valor scales off of AD. So I'd imagine The Brutalizer followed by Bloodthirster is the way to go, with Hexdrinker if there's a lot of magic damage.

Agree with tehAsian. Fratmogs, especially after the Atma's Impaler nerf, is extremely weak on Riven. With this build, you will only be effective in the late game or if you're fed. Speaking of this, you're build is definitely not oriented towards getting fed, since both your runes and early items suggest you want to play passively and wait for mid to late game. Because Riven has very high scaling ratios with AD, you should be running Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage and atleast some Greater Mark of Attack Damage in order to do good early damage and actually be able to trade with most champions. Your skilling order also becomes random towards the middle, since you should be maxing your second skill by level 14 at the latest, considering the possibility that you took a second point in Valor at level 7 or 8 to shield someone like Gangplank's harass. Lastly, the utility tree holds next to nothing for Riven, please put it in the defense tree.

Well I did make this build BEFORE the Atma's Impaler nerf, but I continued to use it and it still seemed to work really well. And since when did I mention this build was oriented towards getting fed? I don't think I ever mentioned that. I took into consideration that Fratmogs didn't work well early game, and that's why I specified you build those LATE GAME. I will consider changing the runes AFTER I try out different combinations. And I'm also keeping the masteries the same as the 9 in utility worked a lot better than the 9 in defense.

Atmog's isn't very good on Riven :l

Riven is an AD Caster, not a bruiser. Plus, if you're going for a bruiser build Frozen Mallet + Randuin's Omen + Maw of Malmortius is better than Atmogs + Fromal.
