well, if u loose 1 hit of broken wings you still have 2 hits... while if u miss ki burst u deal no damage...
anyway you Randouin and Youmuu's give you possibly enough CD..
if you don't like it you could substitute Mercury's Treads with Ionian Boots, but do it at last..
it's quite useful to have high armor and magic res in short game.. =D

Nice job mate well done.
the only think that i wanna tell you is that you are low on cd .. you have to maximaze it if you can with runes or something else still i dislike your skill rotation cause if you lose one cast of broken wings you are lossing too much dmg! I think ki burst is better ...but still +1 for the trinity force and your items!

1: Your English is painful to read for starters. I get the impression it is your native language, and the blatant lack of grammar makes it hard to read.

2: Your build is either one: unoriginal, and already covered (Better) in other guides, or two: bad where it is different. Everyone thinks Trinity is a bad idea on her.
As you mention, Riven is not as much of an auto attacker, and relies more on her abilities. So the effect from Infinity Edge (crit damage) not as useful, since Riven's primary source of damage comes from abilities (they don't crit). Blood Thirster is better.

I didn't think my english was so bad, but i'm not English nor American...
I doubt you read all what i wrote because otherwise you would not be commenting such ********.. =D

in fact,

Bloody Thirster max damage = 100
Infinity Edge damage = 80

Comparing them it gives you only +20 damage on 2nd and 3rd spell; only +10 damage on 1st spell.
when the enemy has 2500-3000 life, this +20 or +10 does not count at all.

differently you gain +50 critical damage and 20% crit chance.
this DOES NOT ALLOW YOU to crit everytime you hit an enemy; still 1 attack out of 5 should be crit, dealing 500 damage.

i think it's cristal clear:
I empower just a little less my spells, BUT

TRINITY FORCE gives me +150% damage (and crit chance) and when it comes a crit between first "Q" and second "Q" you receive easily 650 damage.
thanks to Youmuu's i don't really care how tanked you are, you receive at least 400 damage in 1 shot.

From what u worte i can tell that either

- you don't play riven, or you are unable to
- you are kinda noob, and by this i mean your ELO.

I didn't find any other Riven's Builds similar to this one. Indeed looking at "best" riven builds i can't see any like this.
whenever i'll find 1 i'll vote it positive.

First off, Broken wings is a knock back, not a stun. Secondly, the CD on broken wings doesn't decrease with each rank, but Ki strike's does.

That means (and this was my point) that you get more stuns&knock backs per skill point leveling ki strike than broken wings.

Your argument against life steal is valid but incomplete. Though your abilities do not life steal, your passive does, that makes her a good life stealer in similar fashion to how lee sin is a good life stealer.

The fact that you don't get harassed to death without at least a little life vamp makes me wonder what ELO you are playing at. I know if I were up against you in a lane, I'd just be sitting out of your range and poking you through your wimpy shield because you have too little AD to stop my harass from getting through and have no life steal to mitigate it. I'd be grabbing wards for your bushes and zoning you out in no time flat- while I free farm...

Edit: You also defeat your own argument. You say most your damage comes from abilities-not your auto-attacks, and yet you build a tri-force instead of AD. If you build a bloodthirster or a IE instead with that massive pile of gold that the tri-force eats up, just think of how much harder your skills would hit. Plus your shield would be so much stronger. Plus if you build a bloodthirster, you could just mitigate the harass they throw at you by whacking a creep or two. There is a lot to love about the Bloodthirster while playing Riven, given you can stay alive to stack the item...

U seem to be quite confident you are right...
i'm glad u do, even though u r wrong.. =)

if you would please me to read what i wrote u can find all the answers you need.

Why leveling first instead of third spell?
- DAMAGE: my aim is to deal as much damage as possible. by leveling first spell i gain as much damage as possible.
- knock up is not a proper stun, STILL it interrupts the enemy spells (see malz or kata's ulti), and if u learn how to play riven it can know the enemy back between you and your team mates. (IF YOU CAN CONSIDER A PROPER STUN A 0.5 SECOND STUN, THIS MEANS THAT THIS IS A FAR BETTER STUN..)

Cooldowns?
- as i wrote, you get cooldown reduction through items: Youmuu's and Randuin gives you more than 20% CD reduction.
- Ki Burst damage is done only in a small area, and if you miss it you deal nothing. First spell allows you to shortly dash 3 times dealing more damage (than Ki Burst) each time.

Life Steal based?
I hope you are not serious, but anyway you did same mistake again... so i'll explain once more.
You yourself said that Riven's strenght is on her passive, BUT HER PASSIVE TURNS ON ONLY AFTER SHE CAST A SPELL. this means that she have to cast a spell to have some bonus damage. This makes her a CASTER DPS.

This would be enough say you are wrong, but let's go on.

her basic Attack Speed is around 1.6, but it does not increase much in long game. you can not rely on attacks to have life steal: you would not land enough attacks to recover your life.
furthermore, her passive, which you say is her strenght, is not so good at low levels: you gain just 5 bonus damage (+ only 0.5% of your damage) at level 1 and ONLY 15 bonus damage (+0.5% of your damage) at level 18. if you have 20% life steal (which is the BLOODY stacked at most) you will receive 3 bonus life steal! =D

OH, THAT'S SUCH A MASSIVE AMOUNT! IT CAN KEEP YOU ALIVE FOR SO LONG!

I think this is enough to say riven is not based on life steal...
Xin Zhao is based on life steal, Tryndamere might be, WW is baseed on it, Ranged DPS can be based on it, but Riven needs to nuke with her abilities, and this is why i take ARMOR PENETRATION as soon as possible and Trinity Force to get life, crit chance and 150% damage after every spell: it means you must play a combo doing Q + basic atk + W + basic atk + Q + basic atk + Q + basic atk + E + basic atk and so on.

I don't know whether you are able to understand this but if you (who do not play Riven) still think that life steal Riven is better than this one i will not contraddict you anymore.

Everyone has his own beliefs.

i must disagree in some points.

1. Broken wings gives you a stun if u just click fast 3 times on Q; therefore upgreading Ki Burst to have stun more often is ridiculos.. Items give you CD reduction, and trust me, you should be able to cast a spell after each attack you land.

2. Riven is not designed for Life Steal. As I said before, Riven is a skill based champion, a caster melee DPS I would say. Most damage comes from spells, not from simple attacks. Bloody could be useful as last item instead of IE as it is said in the Guide, but i don't usually count on Life Steal with her..
When you are in fight you are tankish enough to face anyone without life steal.. I just had another Ranked Game where i went 9-1... I mean, life steal is good, but Bloody is not enough. If you wanna play on life steal you should focus all your build on it: bloody, boots of berserker, starks fervor and so on.. Riven has 1.65 atk speed, not enough to play on life steal..

Interesting build must I say. I like it, but I don't like that you have 2 mana items. I know using Sheen is not arguable. But Banshee's Veil, I did try building it once, but I got annoyed because I spent 400 G for Mana crystal, then some more to turn that in to Catalyst of Aeons. Try some other MR items to.

+1 from me and try improving it.

U got the point: too much mana in the build.
U are sadly right, but Banshee is fairly useful..

U have to think that if you can get up to build Banshee, it means that game is long, and you are having a fairly good game. you have to think about team fights, and this means a lot of disables.
mages like ryze, annie, morgana, but also figheter like ashe, TF, riven herself or assassins like talon and so on, means a lot of disables... Banshee allows you to join the fight safely enough, dealing tons of damage before geting stunned (usually)...

Furthermore it gives you some more life (not much), which works quite well...

Anyway you have quite a lot of life already, therefore you could build Force of Nature instead of Banshee's Veil.. =D

I haven't played Riven that much (I own her but I enjoy tanking more) but I feel that leveling Broken wings last (ki burst first, then valor) is the best way to allocate skill points. The ability has good scaling and reduces in CD every time you level it. Also, stacking AD over getting trinity force improves your shield's effectiveness while AP and mana are wasted stats.

The brutalizer is a good item for Riven but rushing ghostblade is silly when you don't ever run out of cds because the AS active is pretty much wasted.

You also have 0 life steal on a champion that is nearly designed for it. Wriggler's and Bloodthirster are very very strong on this champion.

The way I build this champion is boots + 3 pots then ionian/merc boots, then brutalizer, then vamp scepter, then black cleaver, then bloodthirst, then a warmog's or frozen mallet, then an atma's (getting a ghostblade to finish last). I've seen Riven decimate building AD/lifesteal/Atmog's. I've seen Rivens fail hard running Trinity Force.

I would downvote this, but I don't think I play Riven enough to have a strong opinion.
