Runes
Armour penetration marks allow you to cut through your opponents armour. Also, these runes will scale well into the late game.
Dodge runes, although slightly random and risky, has great synergy with Nimbleness. These runes will provide a nice amount of dodge throughout the game.
Magic Resist per level will give a significant amount of magic resist going into the late game. These runes will help with surviving against most magic damage.
The extra movement speed will decrease the time it will take to get around the jungle as well as getting into position for kills. In late game, these will work wonders with your skills whether you're chasing an enemy for a kill or running away from a lost fight.
Recommended
No jungler should ever be without Smite. Allows you to ensure your team a Dragon and/or Baron kill as well as stealing the enemy's jungle buffs.
Whether you are chasing down an enemy or running away, Ghost alongside your skills and high mobility will allow you to get a kill or avoid death easily.
Alternatives
A good alternative. This will allow you to hop over walls, close a gap, or increase the distance between you and your pursuer.
Another great alternative. Allows you to get around the map almost instantaneously. Clever use of Teleport + Wriggle's Lantern can grant great killing opportunities.

Blade of the Exile
- Increases base damage by 20% for 15 seconds
- Wind Slash scaling +0.6/+1.8 damage per bonus Attack Damage based on enemy's missing life
- Great for killing enemy's out of melee range
This item will help Riven keep her health much higher while jungling in case you need to help out a lane. The ward is an added bonus because it is almost like a free 75 gold every 3 minutes.
These boots will give you much needed cooldown reduction.
Regardless of what others have said about this item, the effect on Sheen/ Trinity Force work well with Runic Blade and Blade of the Exile. The ability power and mana may be wasted, but the damage gained makes up for these wasted stats.
This item works nicely with the rest of the build. The armour will add to your survivability, and the increased critical strike chance is a nice additional bonus.
Buy one every return back to fountain after building Wriggle's Lantern if you don't have one active or in your inventory. This item will grant you a decent amount of health and damage for a very low cost.
Increased critical strike and attack speed on a pure physical damage champion, what's not to like?
Useful for destroying wards and negating stealth.
