Introduction
Riven is by far my favorite champion in League of Legends, and I am pretty sure I can play her well enough.
The start: In the loading screen/picks check for what champion you will face top, if you meet someone that is mostly squishy like; Fiora, Jayce, Kha'Zix, Rengar, Rumble ETC. You will have the greatest chance to snowball the top lane. If you know the opponent is squishy and weaker than you early, wait until you are level 3. By far I think Riven is the strongest top laner champion at level 3. Upon levling 3 you will be having all you're skills. The best Harrasment way is to Q - Q and then you use the last Q to hit them, by this I mean use ur 2 first Q's to jump closer, and the last to hit the target, upon hitting with Q, immediately hit W and a quick basic attack, followed by a E to jump out of the way, so they will not hurt you with maybe a skillshot.
Riven is an exceptional snowballer and a big bully in the lane, getting you're doran's and a Brutalizer early will make you deal alot damage early.
Levling 6 is also when you should initiate. A extremely good way for riven to win top, is to flash then directly use E and W to stun the target. This will lead them no chance of escaping ur stun (W), with your ultimate on you will deal insane damage. Use your Q in-between attacks so you deal more damage, with my build you don't use your Q to deal damage, just to escape or initiate. Follow this up by reactivating your ultimate while they are about 30-40% hp left. The ultimate will most likely finish them.
Start with Boots of Speed and 3 health potions.
If you had an rather bad beginning go for 2 or more doran blades, go therefore with ninja tabi if against ad top, and suggested to switch to mercury treads in lategame. Black Cleaver - Blood Thirster - Frozen mallet - Guardian angel - Sell Dorans and go Maw of Malmortius.

In my opinion Riven's "W" is her strongest spell, therefore I start with it and then max it by level 9, you're Q is optional for levling at 2 or 3, I highly recommend levling E on level 2, then maxing it by 13.
When you have you're ultimate ready, you can use flash to ur E and W with ultimate on, will deal tons of damage, while using ult when they have slightly about 35% left.
