I absolutely love this, but, Garrison is dominion only, but you mention it as a replacement for Teleport as if you could use it in the same place.

Gakura Endbringr: Ah, that would make more sense. I still think Q>W in most cases, but if you need a stronger armor steroid more than damage and slow on your Q, you could use that order I guess.

ALFA WHISKY: Sunfire Cape isn't the item it used to be. You'll rarely see it built in high level games anymore since Randuin's Omen and Frozen Heart are more powerful options. RO and FH also synergize with Ground Slam to heavily disable the enemy AD carry, while SC will give you a small damage aura. Not so helpful.

ilias116: Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd recommend building AP, AD or Armor items over Trinity Force. Trinity is a really expensive item that doesn't synergize too well with malphite's role as a tank. I also wouldn't get Wriggle's Lantern if you're laning. It's more effective to get an early armor item or gp10 instead of spending your gold on lifesteal and AD.

Razid: Thank you for the suggestion. Since you are the 3rd or 4th person to request this, I'll try to make it more of a priority. As to your questions, I'll try to address them briefly for now.

Riven: Not a counter to malph at all. She's simply an incredible top laner with a strong early game. Not an ideal matchup for malph, but it isn't too bad. Max E and get armor fast, she'll block your Q with her shield. Randuin's Omen is a pretty good item to have against her. You might want to rush Warden's Mail and upgrade it earlier than usual instead of going for the normal HoG into late randuin's route.

Yorick: You should never be in this matchup. Yorick's ghouls and autoattacks deal physical damage but when he casts his W and E, you take magic damage. You'll want a lot of sustain and preferably some help from your jungler. Yorick tends to push if you let him and is fairly vulnerable to ganks if he's not near his tower. You could probably build Chalice of Harmony and max E to kill his ghouls asap, but tbh I haven't run this matchup very often so it's hard to say. Avoid this guy if at all possible.

Singed: Probably one of the most boring matchups possible. He doesn't "counter" malph per se, he's just not ideal and you can't shut him down easily. Malphite wants to be against autoattackers and Singed needs to be zoned early, which you can't do. Just farm and try to be a more effective tank late game. He has no way to poke or harass without getting close, so max E. Get health sustain and magic resistance early so he won't harass you out of lane and outfarm you. Don't worry much about killing him one on one, especially if you haven't hit 6 yet.

TheOchremancer: Lol, I didn't realize I still had that in there. Summoner Spells section updated. That was leftover from the debut of Dominion when a Rioter compared Garrison to Fortify. A lot of people took that to mean that the spell would be available in SR, but it turned out it wasn't. Sorry for the confusion, thanks for spotting the error.

My build is slightly diffirent, but it originates from this one. I've never lost top lane with Malphite in ranked. I rely on Malphite the most and he is pretty much my main champion.

I love this guide, as I've probably already said, and I got a pretty nice game playing jungle. It was on my EUW account, so I didn't have runes and only 0/6/0 masteries. It wasn't easy either, as I died at level 3 at double golems when I wasn't paying attention, our Xin went 1/11/8, and our TF went 6/8/7. They both fed Fiora and Fiddle respectively >.>

I'd like to ask a few questions though.

Why Frozen Mallet? If anything, I'd want Rylai's Crystal Scepter for more damage. I went for more pure tank though, with Warmog's Armor. Most of your damage is magical, and your main spammy spell scales off of armor anyways. I understand the permaslow, but I prefer more health.

Why the early Atma's Impaler? You aren't gonna have enough health by the time you get it for it to be that useful. I would think a different item would be better anyways, as most of your damage is magical and scales off of AP. You also are building nearly full tank, so your main job isn't to do too much damage. Thus, I would think Frozen Heart or Abyssal Scepter would be better.

I'd also like to know if you think Frozen Heart or Randuin's Omen would be better for whatever item slot. RO gives a nice active as well as a bunch of nice stats, but FH gives you mana (pretty nice since you spam to clear fast/do good damage), CDR (again, very nice), and that amazing AS slowing aura. I'm kind of leaning towards FH myself, but Randuin's is pretty close.
