Deh introduction

Rumble is a great damage dealer with pretty high survivability if built right. This is my build on how to play rumble and build him. As I always say; LETS PWN!

(Errr, please know that I'm not exactly the PRO on LoL. I'm decent. But I still have a lot to learn. Pl0x comment if I get anything wrong so I can learn how to improve. THANKS!)

PROS AND CONS OF RUMBLEZ!!!!

(Using this build)


PRO'S

High Survivability:
Lost most of your health and teleporting back will waste too much time and loose exp that you don't want to lose? NO PROBLEMO! Just run to another lane and kill off the minions/jungle and you'll be back to a decent amount of health in about 1 minute!

What can I say? Use your Flamespitter, use your Electro-Harpoon,use your Flamespitter, use your Electro-Harpoon... WHAT WAS THAT? A GODLIKE I HEAR?.. OH YES! I'M LEGENDARY!!!

SUPRAH ESCAPING POWAAAAAA
Scrap Shield+ Ghost= /all OMGWTF I ALMOST GOT A KEEL! %&*$ YOU RUMBLE!

Deh Karma is with meh
In team fights, carries that have gotten quite OP like Master Yi and Xin Zhao are usually focused. Tanks like Alistar are also focused a lot. You are a balanced Hybrid, so the enemy doesn't think of you as a threat. Little do they know that after you use your ult, you are UNBEATABLE!!! MUAHAHAHA

CONS

You get focused=you die in 5-15 secs
WHAAAAAAAAAT???? I SAID TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY!

If you get focused by 3 or more enemies and if one or 2 of them have a slow, stun or dash type skill, and if they are within 2 levels higher or lower than you, your probably going to die. Rumble's durability is only for versing 1 or 2 people simultaneously. In reality, Rumble and his skills were only designed for 2 on 1. Rumble can deal with an Annie and a Warwick. Any more than that without team assistance and your probably dead if you don't get away quick enough

Getting close is risky
Rumble doesn't have the best range in the game. You'll usually need to get close and personal, and while doing that, you also need to be good at dodging and you'll need to always be ready for a quick escape.

RUNES FTW! (No seriously, they PWN)

I decided to go with a pure AP runes set:

3 Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power
9 Greater Mark of Scaling Ability Power
9 Greater Seal of Scaling Ability Power
9 Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power

The reason I chose AP is because:

Armor
is useless, because AD Crit builds have a The Black Cleaver to pierce your armor. Secondly, the idea with rumble is to not go against champions like Master Yi without assistance. The same rule applies to Magic resist.

Cooldown Reduction is useless, because Rumble already has low enough Cooldowns as it is.

Magic Penetration is not needed, because magic pen should only be required on tanky type players who get magic resist a lot like Alistar and your masteries already give you magic pen. If you read on, there is an option to switch the Rylai's Crystal Scepter for the Void Staff or the Abyssal Sceptre which will give you enough magic pen as it is.

The rest should be self explanatory. (Mana is not needed and you already have enough Health as it is)

ABILITY POWA
Gives you A TON of more damage and you are basically pure win after level 11.
To those who are asking. WHY NOT GET POTENCY RUNES? The answer is it's not worth it. Sure, you start off with a beastly amount of extra damage, but after level 10, it's not worth it anymore.

Masteries

Why I chose these masteries:

Offense:
Archmage's Savvy: I LOVE AP!

End of story. ANY QUESTIONS?


Archaic Knowledge: I chose this because it was easy to get and it gave you 15% Magic Penetration. Extremely worth it IMO.

Defense:
Ressistance: Magic resistance. What else can I say?

Hardiness and Harden Skin: Armor is always Nice...

Veteran's Scars: Moar health=Moar survival=Moarwin>Feed

Reinforce This helps A LOT when you have someone attacking the tower with a group of minions, the tower aims for minions, champion recieves half of the damage. This is a very useful mastery that will discourage most champions from attacking the turrets until they have enough HP.

MOAR AP FTW! Any questions?

Haste YOUR STANDARD ESCAPE MECH JUST IMPROVED! Feel free to OMG if you like...

ITEMZ!

You may be asking me now "Why choose the Warmog's Armor? Why choose the Force of Nature?"

The answer is because of durability. With the Warmog's Armor maxed out and the Force of Nature, you regenerate around 74HP per 5 seconds. That's 888HP regenerated PER MINUTE if you are low on HP, all you need to do is go into the Jungle, Kill minions (That is, if you don't have a jungler). If you do have a jungler, just switch lanes with someone that doesn't really care and in 1 minute, you should be ready to dish out some serious damage without fear of dying again. If your HP reacher 1000 or is below 1000, you should just chillax and go kill some minions and farm gold. No need to teleport back when you only have 10 gold...

The Mecury's Treads are also for durability. If you are sure you won't be touching champions with annoying slows like Cho'Gath or even more annoying stuns like Annie Then you can swap the Mecury's Treads for the Boots of Swiftness (Running away is easier now! Yay!), the Boots of Mobility (Roaming around and assisting your allies is easier) or the Ninja Tabi (To give you a better chance against that ANNOYING Master Yi).

Now for the

SUPRAH DAMMAGE ITEMS!

(Insert epic drumroll here)

The Rabadon's Deathcap and the Zhonya's Hourglass are easy enough to explain. PURE AP!!! w000t! The Rylai's Crystal Scepter is to slow the enemies down so you can use Flamespitter without them running away every 3 seconds. If you think you can land every single Electro-Harpoon without missing, then feel free to swap the Rylai's Crystal Scepter for a more useful item like the Void Staff or the Abyssal Scepter (Depending on if you want more Magic pen or more magic resist).

If you think the extra health and regen isn't needed, swap the Warmog's Armor for another Rabadon's Deathcap or if you want extra armor, a Zhonya's Hourglass.

If you've maxed out your build and you still have money left over, swap the Mecury's Treads for the Lich Bane.

Getting stunned too much? Swap the [Force of Nature] for the Banshee's Veil.

Playing Rumble

Start off with a Boots of Speed and 3 Health Potions. At levels 1-10, play REALLY defensively. Focus on last hitting and earning gold. You only start PWNING once you hit your second major item ( Rylai's Crystal Scepter). At level 11 or 12, if you focused on last hitting, getting gold and even got a few kills, you should have enough gold for a Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Teleport back to base and buy the item. Then go back and change you tactic to offensive.

You should now do enough damage to be kill off enemy champions fairly quickly with the help of a team-mate. Focus on pushing and defending your lane. You'll still need to farm and last hit though. Teleport back when you need to buy an item or you need to regenerate health and you see no point in farming minions for 1 min.

SKILLZ WITH RUMBLE!



Flamespitter: Your standard, Jack of all trades damaging skills. You can use this to chase champions and hurt then like hell. This is the main damage dealer skill.

Scrap Shield: Your main defensive and escape skill. I usually initiate this skill just after I attack an enemy champion. It helps absorb the damage of skills like Annie's Disintegrate and Incinerate. To escape, I usually use it right after I use Ghost.

Electro-Harpoon: Your slow skill. This skill works excellently with your Rylai's Crystal Scepter. Just use it and spam Flamespitter like a boss.

The Equalizer: This skill does A HELL OF A LOT OF DAMMAGE! It takes a while to aim though.

HOW TO PWN WITH YOUR SKILLS!

Step 1: Get near the enemy
Step 2: Initiate with your Electro-Harpoon
Step 3: Immediately don your Scrap Shield
Step 4: Immediately after that, use Flamespitter
Step 5: CHASE


How to run away:

Use Ghost Then Scrap Shield

WHO DO I LANE WITH?

Errr... EVERYBODY!!! w000000t!!!!



Rumble is versatile with every Champion, but here are a few of the best for him to lane with:



All those champions have 1 thing in common: They can slow, stun or trap their enemies. Rumble works best with allies like these.

My personal favourite laning parter is:

. Fidde's Terrify and Drain is VERY useful when you want to bring a champion down quickly. Just Flamespitter the heck out of enemies while they are getting drained and feared.

Not as useful as Ghost, but you can flash through some corners, so this has the advantage in some spots.
