Introduction

Hello everyone, I figured that I have used MOBAfire for a while now and haven't contributed aything so I thought I would make this build, this is my first build so please bear with me. Rumble is one of my favorite champs. I got him when I was playing enough to unlock every new champ every two weeks. I was not looking forward to his release and almost didn't get him, thank god I did because he has become my new main. This guide is meant to show people how I play Rumble, it is not a full rundown of the champ and his abilities just a quick tutorial on how i play. Please read the full guide and try it out before you vote.

Runes and Masteries

Trust me these runes are how I have been playing Rumble from the start. The 24AP with 9 and 15% magic pen make you a force to be dealt with early game, plus the bonus health, the armor and mr from the defensive masteries and the doran's shield give you around 700 health lvl 1 and some pretty good defensive stats.

Items

I always start off with the Doran's shield, this gives you a good boost to health and the armor and health regen keep you in lane longer. You should try to stay in lane until you can afford the Merc Treads, but if you have to go back sooner grab as many components as you can and grab some health pots too. The next item is Rylia's, this item alone makes Rumble a something people hate to see, the Flamespitter slow allows you to chase with ease and deals some really nice consistent damage. I try to get the Giant's Belt first when building this item, but if you can't afford when you go back get what parts you can because there is no point in returning empty handed. Once you have Rylia's, it is time to start working on Revolver. Once you have this a Randuin's Omen next, start by building Warden's Mail. These three items are really the core of this build, this is what make you true tanky dps. After these you should then build one of the Negatron Cloak upgrades, whichever you prefer, all are good items, I prefer an Abyssal, that aura of lowering magic resist works so well for Rumble. The last item is up to you, I try to base it on what I need picking from Rabadon's Deathcap, Zonya's Hourglass, Thornmail, or Force of Nature all depending on the enemy team and my needs. I almost never get to full build and will often win or the other team will surrender shortly after I've gotten my Randuin's Omen.

Solo Laning

When you have a jungler try to solo lane top, I have never had a problem soloing as Rumble. If it is 1v1 push and harass using your Flamespitter but always be careful of ganks. Once i hit level 2 and get my Scrap Shield I try to spam both to keep myself in the Danger Zone. I play pretty offensively so just keep walking up to the front minions when using Flamespitter if they are lined up in their normal pattern (3 melee in line with 3 ranged a little further back) you should be able to hit 5-6 of them. This range on the Flamespitter is also great to use when chasing your opponent, especially when you have Rylia's to slow them as well. This is how i keep the pressure on my lane opponent and keep them from getting too close to my turret. It is important to remember that you are not invincible, your shield helps you absorb damage but it is not going to save you early game. Just play passive aggressive, try to harass with the Flamespitter and your Electro-Harpoon and try to watch for enemy ganks, use your jungler to get gank and get kills when you want them and save your ultimate for when they try to rush you, i can't tell you how many times I escaped or even got kills from an enemy gank because they get caught in my ult.

Laning with a Partner

Rumble is just as effective with a lane partner, it is true that it will take you a little longer to get your items but you can better coordinate with your partner to harass and push the lane even better. When I have a lane partner i always check to see how many of the enemies have flash. If only a few then you should go for first blood. Take Flamespitter first just like in solo lane and hide in the bushes with your lane partner. When the enemy get close enough or has passed you (if you want to be safe) you and your partner should jump out of the bushes, turn on Flamespitter and exhaust them right away. Make sure to coordinate so you both are attacking the same champ, if they do not have flash simply chasing them with Flamespitter will nearly kill them, but with your lane mate you should be able to get the kill. This really works best with a lane partner who hits hard right of the bat. Other than that treat a 2v2 lane just as you would the solo top, harass with Flamespitter and Electro-Harpoon, and save your ultimate for when you get jumped or when an enemy champ with just a sliver of health gets out of reach, this ult has a stupid range that can get you that kill almost every time.

Conclusion

As i said before this is is not a comprehensive guide, simply a rundown of how I play Rumble. Please try it out before you vote and remember that practice makes perfect, playing Rumble aggressively like I do can result in a lot of deaths before you get the hang of it, but hey, what other champ has such a fun death animation.

Abyssal scepter>qss for the debuff aura and ap imo. I agree with above too. Also Sunfire is unnecessary and honestly is a horrible tank item. Randuin beats it easily. Or replace it with spellvamp.

I can see that, there are games where I take the Abyssal over the QSS, but the way I play tends to end with me running into the middle of the enemy during a team fight and having that cleanse helps to keep me going. With the sunfire, this is again personal preference, as I said I tend to end up in the middle of everyone so I like to do as much AoE damage as possible, plus the bonus health keeps me in lane longer and has always worked better FOR MEthan spellvamp has. Thanks for the comment and suggestions, I am not denying their worth just showing the world how I run Rumble.
