Rumble is a champ who i see can be built very succsessfully 2 ways-
Tank (With a hint of AP but very tanky)
I will mainly go over the Caster DPS part, because Caster DPS is more fun to play as personally
Rumble is a very fun champ to play, but takes some practice, considering he has a couple skill shots. (I would just like to note, when you shoot your ult, the AoE ring will be red. If an enemy rumble uses it, the AoE ring will be green. Please dont ask why, cuz i dont know)
Please read before trolling. I'm not telling u to troll though. Eh, you get what i mean.
"UPDATE 5/2/11" Masteries changed to 1/21/8
I use 1/21/8, only because Rumble can be tanky, and some of the utility is useless to him
9/21/0 also works, but Good Hands is nice to have. I use 8 in utility only because putting one in Cripple is nice.
Rumble's abilities are awesome, but they look ugly(to me, that is).
This passive is awesome. I would like to note, building Rumble around being Overheated doesnt work very well, only because early game it doesnt do much, and your abilities dont work when Overheated. Plus, he's not ranged. Staying in the Danger Zone is very important. To stay in the Danger Zone without over heating, be sure to 1) Watch your bar of heat 2) Repeat this: Q,W,E,Q to stay in the Danger Zone, but wait before using something else.
By far, Rumble's best skill. This skill helps getting into the Danger Zone early, and is great with Rylai's. Max this first, and keep this constantly on without Overheating too much.
This skill is actually pretty good, and I max this second because your Harpoon isnt your big damage dealer. You wont belive how many times this will save your ***. Just try not to Overheat when running away, or your dead without this.
Eh, this skill is ok. You will need at least on rank of this. It's more useful for the slow, so dont make this your main source of damage. But, giving us two harpoons for the heat of one is useful. Thanks, Riot! ^^
This is what makes you a beast. It has a low CD for an ult, so u wont have to wait that long to use it again. Usually, you'll make you enemies run from your godly damage. When they do, pop this. Thats another kill for u sir! Also, see that Xin hugging his turret? Pop it. He runs, u destroy his turret. Gratz!
I use Ghost and Exhaust, but thats my prefrence. There are plenty of other viable spells.
Flash is good, but i perfer ghost.
Good for early game kills, and for people trying to heal. Loses its usefulness later.
For dem lazy people out there. ^^
If ur having trouble, use this.
Any other summoner spell is jank on Rumble.
These are pretty straight forward. I'll explain the Seals.
As Rumble, building him pure AP leaves him squishy. Thats why he's part tank, and these runes help early game for taking damage.
Rumble is very squishy, so i build him AP/Tank.
This is what you'll get early game. Doran's shield is a gimmie. Boots for later, and then AP. Blasting Wand if your enemy fed u or ur farming like a boss.
"NOTE" Building tanky items first also works, like getting Heart of Gold or a Regrowth Pendant.
Ok, Mercs are good, but my other option is Boots of Swiftness, cause you need to get around.
Rylai's is probably the best item for Rumble, HP, AP, and a slow for you flamethrower. FoN is a great item for Rumble, but depending on the enemy team, you can swap this for Randuin's Omen. (If you don't get FoN early, get it after your Deathcap) Deathcap is pretty straight forward.
Options for remaining items
Personally, Randuin's Omen you probably will always get. Void Staff is for those pesky MR stackers. Zhonya's is good if they are Mele heavy. Abyssal is when you need more MR, and they have some. Getting Sunfire is yuor choice, i get it when we dont have a tank. I'm testing more items, so if you have any ideas, please tell me
Rumble takes some skill to use, but in the end is very fun. When played right, u can trolololol in their faces as a player on their team rage quits.
