i started to play ryze not so long ago and i think he is very op.
very nice guide i must admit.
but i need to say that i think you're not going deep enough in details like for exemple : Items.
you are always going muramana and archangel. why ? in which order ? does the stacking passive work ? do you prefer using ms or spellvamp runes ? do you use the same masteries for both rune pages ?
when you go both tears item which active do you use or do not use ? ( shield or AA boost ) ?

but otherwise i think this would be the best ryze guide if you would've went in for more details.

A question : do you realy have the tile in game to stack to tears of the goddess one after the other. I mean, in the laning phase you wont cast so many spelle, unless you trade a lot. after that ok, Ryze combos are 4-5 spells cast very quickly but still, it would take me to go to level 18 and then play a lot of times to stack it twice (since you cannot stack both at the same time). And I'm only bronze so most of the times the game stops at 35' whe one of the team surrenders. And at the stage ok you have stacked one, but I just think that I wont have the time to stack a second one.

For the rest, I'm really a newbie I used to build offensive tree, just did not realize that for a so much mana dependant champ I should build in the utilities, this really opened my eyes. Thanks then.

Exactly what I mean by overflow?

Max cap for CDR is 40%.

I do actually have one complaint about regular Ryze waaaaay too much cdr overflow if you go 21/0/9 you have 55% if 9/0/21 its 60% If you have a special one without cdr masteries, its just 50% which is meh ok. I do double tear items on people who stack fast, Syndra and Nidalee in particular

Double Tear items are still pretty ****ty. Especially considering that Spirit Visage is nowhere to be seen in your main build.

Manamune and Archangel do not stack. However, Seraph's Embrace and Muramana do. So what I would typically do is buy a tear, stack it, and go for either Manamune or Archangel stuff depending on the enemy. Mostly I would go for Manamune because Archangel stacks faster than Manamune. Back to the topic, Muramana and Seraph's Embrace does, the passive isn't about giving the mana after upgraded, it is the stats which give 1000 mana.
