In a 1v1 fight, the only thing your ulti really gives you is the spell vamp because the AOE will only affect anything near the other player or minions if they are close, unless you get ganked of course and it turns into a 1v2. Because of Ryze's passive, your skill rotation should be this; Q,W,Q,(get right next to them)E,Q. That combo will pretty much kill anything unless it's a 3-4 stack Cho'Gath in my experience. The reason it works so well is his Q has the lowest CD, so doing it that way makes you able to use it in between the other spells, shaving 1 second off of everything that is on CD. If they are hitting you back, your ulti can save you because of the spell vamp, so if they start attacking you back, stick your ulti in there somewhere so you get some HP back. He has zero abilities that really help him farm unless you want to just blow mana making sure you get the last hit. With his slow attack speed, no mana /cdr refunds on last hits... how do you guys farm optimally on such a gear dependent character?
