played ryze for a bit and don't know why but i just wasnt good,
wanted to try again and searched a guide, found your guide, followed it and what do you know? won every game with ryze after i read your guide.
played about 10 times with ryze today, not one lost.
I must say awesome job and there should be more guides like yours dude.

He is the best but his ultimate isnt very intresting!!!

Great guide never thought of playing ryze along these lines but then again im not that good but just tried it out to great success love the survivability but also with the burst great help ty

Been using this build for a few games, lost 1 out of 5 games so far, ***** so easy.

The only build i use when playing ryze :P kinda sad to still see some people build ryze as AP considering his low ratings..

I have been using this build when I play Ryze and i love it. I use CdR per level glyphs and AP runes instead since i don't have the mana regen ones. I also run teleport and flash for spells, i feel teleport is always useful spell to have on some champions. Great build :D

So I heard of people just stacking Catalysts on Ryze. Am I the only one who thinks this is just a completely stupid idea?

when i saw this build i almost ALMOST left right away thinkin this is dumb a ryze with little or no AP cmon. but after your opening paragraph i thought i'd give it a go and DAYUM does it work. after 3 games lost cause of leavers -_- i kept going and went 12/3 against decent (albeit not great opponents) i realised the awesomness of this build. considering i have never played ryze before and decided to buy him BECAUSE of this build it is one hell of an accomplishment.
P.S i still cant get over how much health regen those masteries give me, its crazy
