Norvasc just went 23/15/24 as Ryze on Howling Abyss

The Tear of the Goddess takes to long to complete and will delay your DPS to far into a ARAM match. By the time it's useful the game is almost over and you probably do not have the kills you would have had by building AP/Mana/Defense items.

Runes
Mist builds take Mana Runes... although it doesnt hurt, I feel with the defense Runes I have listed will help you in team fights and give you the edge to stand and fight. Most people are not ready this build and think your are a Paper Mage. Even better is they will keep trying because they will think it was a fluke to be eaten by Ryze

Masteries
Nothing out of the ordinary here 21/9/0 for Massive DPS & just enough defense to out live everyone.

Play

Once you get hit level 6 you can stop backing out. Start with your Rune Prison > Spell Flux > Overload > Desperate Power ( this I use once I have someone locked down with Rune Prison, Spaming your Q, W & E during the fight will cause the spell to come off cool down very fast).

I try to start a fight when there is a wave of enemy creeps around so while my ult is on I am stealing life from the enemy team and the creeps, this allows me to take on 2 to 3 enemy champions at the same time.
