The order of items isn't as important... as being ballsy and getting kills!

If you want to try my Ryze, then I suggest you start off with a Sapphire Crystal, go back as soon as you have the 300 gold for the Tear, then stay in lane until you need to go back. Buy boots and another mana crystal (or a health crystal if you think you need it). Finish off the Catalyst, unless you are feeling good and can use the armor, mana, and cooldown reduction of the Glacial Shroud. Once you have your first boots, a Tear, a Catalyst, and a Glacial Shroud, finish your boots and look to finish a Hextech Revolver. Don't bother finishing your middle items until you have those five items! You just need to be the Mage/Assassin and smash your fist into the keyboard to pick up kills. Once you finish off the items above try going for what ever you think is good. By level 12 or 13 you will have 40% cooldown reduction (so don't bother begging for a blue). Magic pen (Void Staff or Abyssal Scepter) is usually nice for the last item, but it really doesn't matter what you have by that point because you will probably be able to take on their whole team at this point. If you need more health, Rylai's is a hilarious item to get thanks to the infinite slow that will ensue (thanks to your 40% cdr).

Just remember, the order of when you buy things isn't important. What IS important, is that you have a sh*t ton of mana, a moderate amount of health, armor, magic resistance, and cooldown reduction (mana being the most important because endless spells being cast, that's why).

How to play Ryze.

Q,R,Q,E,Q,W,Q is normally what gets me through most fights, but let's be honest here; you just roll your face on your keyboard and hope you live. Always try to pop a Q in there because by the time you have used another spell, you should have Q back up again to use to reduce the cooldowns on all of your other spells (gotta love that passive). Be a pansy for the first few levels until you have your first boots, a tear, and a catalyst. After this point it is pretty much GG. Just remember that you are going to be a bit tanky, and can afford to just leap in and initiate (just so long as your team doesn't ***** out).

All in all, just have fun and don't get too cocky. Ryze is good, but a good CC team will mess you up something fierce ;)

Other than that, good luck!
