Another question why did you go for 3 points on the mastery "Deadliness" on offensive instead for getting the 15% magic pen?

Since you already go for Rod of Ages, why not picking an Archangel's Staff after? Late game it means LOTS more damage. You can stack up to 1000 mana with it (spam like hell though), and say you have this base mana+Rod+this, it means 3k*3%=90 AP. Not to mention the bonus mana also boosts Overload. But then I would start like you did, and after RoA i'd go Archangel and if you're not able to get golem buff, buy some cooldown item. You'll need it to spam and get way stronger.

EDIT: Remove those defensive masteries. While regen is cool, you rather go for Archaic Knowledge (remove those useless critical damage masteries also, no point) Then you would go 9/0/21 or something. You want the neutral buff increased time so you can spam your spells even more.
