Ryze isn't exactly the most tanky in early game. So when playing mid always stay behind you're minion wave. Also make sure that you can get tear of the godess right when you first recall to base. You can get a little more aggressive when you get glacial shroud. After you get Iceborn gauntlet you can get allot more aggressive. This playing style is optional. You can also go aggressive from the start. But it would be safer to start later. Be careful of mana usage. Often when I'm in lane I often run out of mana(early game).
